Episode 2: Creatine Supplementation
Creatine is one of the most popular nutritional ergogenic aids for athletes. Studies have consistently shown that creatine supplementation increases intramuscular creatine concentrations which may help explain the observed improvements in high intensity exercise performance leading to greater training adaptations.
In addition to athletic and exercise improvement, research has shown that creatine supplementation may enhance post-exercise recovery, injury prevention, thermoregulation, rehabilitation, and concussion and/or spinal cord neuroprotection.
Additionally, a number of clinical applications of creatine supplementation have been studied involving neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s disease), diabetes, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, aging, brain and heart ischemia, adolescent depression, and pregnancy.
These studies provide a large body of evidence that creatine can not only improve exercise performance, but can play a role in preventing and/or reducing the severity of injury, enhancing rehabilitation from injuries, and helping athletes tolerate heavy training loads.
Additionally, researchers have identified a number of potentially beneficial clinical uses of creatine supplementation. These studies show that short and long-term supplementation (up to 30 g/day for 5 years) is safe and well-tolerated in healthy individuals and in a number of patient populations ranging from infants to the elderly. Moreover, significant health benefits may be provided by ensuring habitual low dietary creatine ingestion (e.g., 3 g/day) throughout the lifespan.
The purpose of this review is to provide an update to the current literature regarding the role and safety of creatine supplementation in exercise, sport, and medicine and to update the position stand of International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN).

FRIENDSHIPS FORGED THROUGH PERSONAL TRAINING CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS.
Not one day did this man work out previous to six months ago. The joy I get seeing Will three times a week and getting to train him is one of the most exciting parts of my week.
I want to help every single person that I possibly can reach their potential and feel the way that Will feels.
I have been able to bring transformation into people peoples lives that are closest to me and who are becoming close to me, through the mechanism of knowledge and understanding with application to nutrition, cardiovascular training, and resistance training.
I’ve created a service that offers a 60 minute zoom call to be able to screen share my screen and teach anyone a five step framework that can help anyone have results like Will and many others of my clients have.
I don’t know about you, but what I learned through helping other people... is it’s not about the superficial weight loss, or muscle gain, it’s about the deeper why and if you continue to ask why... you get down to a point where the only thing a person wants is to feel love and acceptance.

We read about freedom, dream about freedom, celebrate the idea of freedom, advocate and hope for freedom, but what do we mean by “freedom”?
“Freedom” means many things to many people.
But what does true freedom look like? Does it look like a voter’s ballot or someone walking out of prison? Is it seen in being able to buy anything a person wants or in owing anything to anyone?
Freedom is defined by Merriam Webster as the quality or state of being free, such as:...
the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action.
liberation from slavery or from the power of another.
boldness of conception or ex*****on.
a political right.
Freedom is more complicated than being able to do whatever we want. Taken too far, that approach would lead to dangerous anarchy—every person for themselves! Certainly freedom can mean the right to do, think, believe, speak, worship, gather, or act as one pleases, but only until your choices start to infringe on another person’s freedoms.
Consider each of our freedoms as fitting into one of two categories: “freedoms of” and “freedoms from.” This point was made by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in his State of the Union Address delivered on January 6, 1941:
“We look forward to a world founded upon four essential human freedoms.
The first is freedom of speech and expression — everywhere in the world.
The second is freedom of every person to worship God in his own way — everywhere in the world.
The third is freedom from want — which, translated into world terms, means economic understandings which will secure to every nation a healthy peacetime life for its inhabitants—everywhere in the world.
The fourth is freedom from fear — which, translated into world terms, means a world-wide reduction of armaments to such a point and in such a thorough fashion that no nation will be in a position to commit an act of physical aggression against any neighbor—anywhere in the world.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

As a trainer and coach I’m tired of seeing people clueless about nutrition. It’s the systems fault for educating us with bogus material like the food pyramid.
If all you do is learn secret number1 you will be off to a great opportunity to engage with a new personal challenge of learning how to create your perfect diet.
-
Forget paying anyone again for a program on nutrition and learn how to do it yourself. This knowledge will guide you for the rest of your life. It’s kinda like someone giving you the cheat codes to how to grow muscle and burn fat for your body: once you know it it feels a little unfair because you can eat whatever you want and get amazing results.
