Tonight was a unfortunate one for our little team. While running the heat race, Brody suffered a motor failure. It's a hard thing for any team to experience but it's especially hard for our little team. We are so grateful for our sponsors and the opportunity to get to this at all but this is a real dagger for us. At this time, we have no timeline for our return to the track. We know we will get it figured out and get back at some point but as for now our season is on hold. What we will do now, is support our racing friends in their seasons. The next best thing to our success is being able to cheer on those who also cheer for us and appreciate their success! We are super thankful for all the support and look forward to when we will be able to return to what we love. In the meantime look for us being the biggest cheerleaders on the sidelines! Fans, this is your chance to get closer to the action than ever before! Following qualifying, everyone is invited into the pits for the autograph session (approximately 6:30 PM) to meet your favorite drivers, collect autographs, take photos, and experience what race day is all about.

Never been in the pits? Tonight is the perfect opportunity! Walk through the pit area, check out the race cars up close, explore the haulers and team setups, and see firsthand what it takes to compete at Butler Motor Speedway. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss!

For those that don't know what the racing community is like these pictures mean nothing. For those that do, these pictures mean everything. Last night was our first race of the season at Butler Motor Speedway. We felt like we had done a good job preparing for Saturday throughout the week. Making final preparations, doing a final organization of the trailer, firing the car etc. But as they say, "The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry." When we tried to fire the car up Saturday to head to the track as part of our normal load procedure, it wouldn't start. A couple phone calls were made, a trip to the parts store and yet nothing. Jon Hadley said, "get it loaded and get to the track, we will figure it out." When we arrived at the track it so many people immediately came over and we started working on it. Jason Furqueron, Jon Hadley, The Rons, our pit neighbors who I had never met before all gave up their valuable time to try to help us. We changed the toggle switch, the pick up module in the distributor, and the starter rely. Still nothing. Finally, Matthew Leland said he was going to try to send his dad back to their shop to get a whole distributor. They got it all installed and immediately the car fired up! So these two pictures are Brody getting strapped in just in time to get in line for the heat race and then him in the line up shoot. I was ready to call it a day. I figured it just wasn't our day and we needed to regroup and try again. These people all never quit and as a result Brody got to race and did well! He finished 12th place and was awarded hard charger for the night.

These are memories that I will never forget. I am wiping tears from my eyes as I write this post. I have never witnessed such generosity as I experienced last night. Thank you to each and everyone of you that helped, tried to help, or even offered words of encouragement. Our little team could never be where we are without the generosity of others.

Well, last night was a crazy one. We were struggling to get ready all day we finally got to the track and the car wouldn't start nothing, not a sound we got it charged up and it started turning over but it wouldn't start. But thankfully the gentlemen next to us helped us get the car to staging and I got pushed out onto the track. I did really good in qualifying breaking my previous record and achieving a time of 17.693 which was a big achievement for me after struggling to get a good qualifying time. I went out for the heat thinking that it was going to be a good race and it didn't matter what happened until the pull arm and the drive shaft broke. We thought we were done but thanks to Matthew Leland, Jason furqueron, and Todd Sherman we started fixing the car. We thought we had time with a bunch of B-mains and another old school class before us we thought we were good. But out of nowhere they called for the modified B-main. Now we were in trouble but somehow we got it out there I started 7th and worked My way up to 3rd and made the transfer. We came in thinking it was okay but we were not we were leaking gear oil like crazy and we were lucky to even make it through the B. We couldn't get it fixed but I went out on the A-main to get my start money. Again thanks to all the people that helped get my car out on the race track I really appreciate it. Thanks to all my sponsors, my family, and my friends. I can't wait for next week.
