This weekend, 51 Innovate competitors stepped onto the mat at District Championships and represented our team to the fullest.
And before we talk about medals, titles, or final results, we want to recognize something even bigger:
It is an accomplishment just to step on the mat at Districts.
Whether this was your very first Districts or your 10th, we are so incredibly proud of you for being there.
For some competitors, the win was overcoming nerves and competing for the first time. For others, it was placing at Districts for the very first time. For some, it was stepping into a tough ring, showing courage, learning from the moment, and walking away stronger than before.
Those little wins matter.
We saw competitors show respect, sportsmanship, courage, and heart in every ring. We saw teammates cheering for each other, families running from ring to ring to support every Innovate competitor, and an energy that reminded us exactly what makes this team so special.
The titles are amazing, and we will absolutely be celebrating the final results from the weekend in an upcoming post.
But today, we want to celebrate the moments that don’t always show up on a results sheet.
The first-time competitors.
The nervous smiles before bowing in.
The students who got back up after a tough round.
The teammates cheering louder than anyone else.
The families supporting every Innovate ring.
The growth. The courage. The confidence. The little wins.
