Henderson Middle School took Tuesday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 12-11 walk-off victory over Monroe County Middle school. The game was tied at 11 in the bottom of the seventh when Mallorie Cook scored after tagging up off a hit by Victoria Clayton.

Victoria Clayton drove in four runners in the win. The cleanup hitter went 3-5 on the day.

Monroe County Middle school were the first to get on the board in the first when #11 doubled, scoring two runs.

Henderson Middle School tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a single by Cook, and a double by Clayton.

Henderson Middle School flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring six runs on four hits to take the lead, 8-7. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Clayton on the sixth pitch of the at-bat that drove in two.

A passed ball extended the Henderson Middle School lead to 9-7 in the bottom of the third inning.

Henderson Middle School jumped into the lead in the bottom of the seventh when Cook doubled, scoring two runs, and Cook scored after tagging up.

Henderson Middle School amassed nine hits in the game. Cook and Clayton were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Henderson Middle School. Cook and Clayton were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in four runs for Henderson Middle School.

Congratulations to Victoria for being named HMS August Athlete of the Month! Her leadership shines both on the field and in the classroom, making her a true role model. With a stellar .436 batting average this season, including 17 RBIs and a fielding percentage of .909, Victoria leads her team by example, consistently performing at the highest level. Her impressive stats, including the highest batting average on the team, are a testament to her hard work and dedication. Off the field, her teachers continually praise her exceptional character and commitment to academic excellence. Victoria’s positive influence and relentless work ethic make her a deserving recipient of this honor.

Henderson Middle School won big over Lamar co middle 17-5 on Tuesday.

Henderson Middle School got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Victoria Clayton drew a walk, scoring one run, Kacey Blandenburg was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Leah Drew drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Annastyn Seymore drew a walk, scoring one run, Lilly Longmire singled, scoring one run, and an error scored one run.

Henderson Middle School scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the second inning. Trinity Cullingford singled, scoring one run, Seymore singled, scoring one run, Mallorie Cook doubled, scoring two runs, and Clayton hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs.

Cook led things off in the circle for Henderson Middle School. The starting pitcher surrendered zero hits and two runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out six and walking three. #10 opened the game for Lamar co middle. The hurler gave up two hits and eight runs (two earned) over one inning, striking out none and walking six.

Henderson Middle School accumulated 10 hits in the game. Clayton provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Henderson Middle School with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Clayton and Seymore each collected two hits for Henderson Middle School. Kenziee led Henderson Middle School with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game. Seymore stole two bases. Henderson Middle School ran wild on the base paths, amassing six stolen bases for the game.

Henderson tigers beat Clifton Ridge 8-7 in a hard fought battle tonight.

Henderson Middle School got on the board in the first inning after Mallorie Cook hit into a double play, but one run scored.

A steal of home by Samyiah gave Clifton Ridge Cougars the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first.

An error, and a single by Samyiah helped Clifton Ridge Cougars extend their early lead in the second.

Henderson Middle School jumped into the lead in the top of the fourth when Cook grounded out, scoring one run, and Victoria Clayton homered to right field, scoring three runs.

Cook started in the circle for Henderson Middle School. The pitcher allowed eight hits and seven runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one. Addi led things off in the circle for Clifton Ridge Cougars. The hurler allowed seven hits and eight runs (six earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking five.

Henderson Middle School tallied eight hits in the game. Clayton drove the middle of the lineup, leading Henderson Middle School with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Clayton and Annastyn Seymore each collected two hits for Henderson Middle School. Henderson Middle School had a strong eye at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Trinity Cullingford and Lilly Longmire led the team with two bases on balls each.

Clifton Ridge Cougars tallied eight hits in the game. Lay and Morgan each collected two hits for Clifton Ridge Cougars. Lay and Addi were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Clifton Ridge Cougars. Clifton Ridge Cougars turned one double play in the game.

Another great win for the tigers!

Henderson Middle School opened the scoring in the first after an error scored one run.

An error gave Upson lee middle the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first.

Leah Drew hit into a fielder's choice, which helped Henderson Middle School tie the game at two in the top of the second.

Henderson Middle School took the lead in the top of the third inning after Victoria Clayton tripled, and Kacey Blandenburg grounded out, each scoring one run.

Henderson Middle School scored six runs on four hits in the top of the fourth inning. Mallorie Cook singled, scoring one run, Blandenburg doubled, scoring three runs, Lanie Fowler singled, scoring one run, and an error scored one run.

Henderson Middle School scored six runs on three hits in the top of the fifth inning. Cook singled, scoring one run, Blandenburg singled, scoring one run, a wild pitch scored one run, Lilly Longmire singled, scoring two runs, and Kenziee drew a walk, scoring one run.

Cook stepped in the circle first for Henderson Middle School. The pitcher gave up two hits and two runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out six and walking two. #24 stepped in the circle first for Upson lee middle. The pitcher allowed six hits and 10 runs (six earned) over four innings, striking out one and walking two.

Henderson Middle School accumulated nine hits in the game. Blandenburg provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Henderson Middle School with three runs batted in. The center fielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Cook led Henderson Middle School with three hits in four at bats. Longmire led Henderson Middle School with two walks. Our girls fought hard against a solid Monroe County team last night, but we came up short 23-24.

Henderson Middle School tallied 14 hits in the game. Cullingford and Blandenburg were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in four runs for Henderson Middle School. Blandenburg led Henderson Middle School with three hits in five at bats. Cook, Victoria Clayton, Longmire, and Leah Drew each collected multiple hits for Henderson Middle School. Henderson Middle School had patience at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Longmire and Kaylee Smallwood led the team with two bases on balls each. Henderson Middle School turned one double play in the game.

We play Gray Station at home on Wednesday. Go Tigers 💙
