Goalkeeper training for our U8–U12 recreational players will now begin Tuesday, September 8! Coach Leo is out of town today with his college team, so there will be no session today.

What a FUN first night for our U8–U10 RecPlus players!

Lots of touches on the ball, new skills, hard work, smiles and FUN while getting a little extra training in!

RecPlus gives recreational players the opportunity to train beyond their regular team practices with our RecPlus coaching staff under the direction of Coach Craig McCabe and continue developing their game throughout the season!

What a night at JFC Kickstart kicking off our fall recreational season!

We had an AMAZING turnout tonight, much bigger than we expected! Seeing so many kids filling the fields, having fun, and getting ready for Opening Day was so great! .

We are incredibly thankful for so many families who have returned to JFC this fall, and we are SO excited to welcome all of the brand-new families joining us! Our fall registration is more than 200 players higher than last spring! We are so grateful that so many families are choosing JFC as the place for their kids to play, grow, make friends, and fall in love with the game.

A HUGE thank you to Kevin Johns, Will Monsour, Craig McCabe, all of the rec coaches, MS Rush coaches and students from Jackson Prep who jumped in to help. And a special thank you to our parents for your patience, flexibility, and willingness to lend a hand tonight. Youth soccer truly takes a village, and ours showed up in a BIG way!

We also want to give a special THANK YOU to our new jersey sponsor for this year, MultiCraft International! We are so grateful for their support of JFC and our players. Community partners like MultiCraft help us continue providing opportunities for kids throughout our community to get on the field and play the game we love! ⚽ U9/U10 BOYS COACHES NEEDED

JFC is in need of 2 more volunteer coaches willing to coach our U9/U10 recreational soccer players. No coaching experience necessary. We’ll provide resources and support for you.

High school & college players: This is a GREAT opportunity to give back to younger players while earning service hours!

•Players play 7v7 with goalkeeper
•Coach 1 game weekly, with 2 some weeks
•Lead one practice a week Background check and safesport course required for volunteers that are over 18

⚽THIS is what recreational soccer is all about! ⚽

Last night, our JFC volunteer coaches came out for a Coaches Clinic with Coach Will, Coach Kevin and Coach Craig to learn, have great conversations and get ready for an awesome fall season!

Some have played soccer before. Some have coached before. And some stepped onto the field knowing very little about soccer but simply saying, “I’m willing to learn.”
And THAT is what makes a great rec coach.

You don’t have to know every rule or have played soccer. You just have to be willing to show up. Encourage the kids, help them make friends, build their confidence and create a place where they LOVE coming to the fields each week.

To every volunteer who has said YES this fall , THANK YOU! You are making a bigger difference in these kids’ lives than you probably realize.

🚨 WE STILL NEED 4 U9/U10 BOYS COACHES!

Parents, you do NOT need soccer experience, you can grab another parent and tag-team it!

High school players, we need you too! This is a GREAT opportunity to give back to younger players while earning community service hours doing something you already love.

⚽CALLING ALL JFC REC COACHES! ⚽

Our JFC Coaches Clinic is coming up Tuesday, August 25 from 6:00–7:15 PM on JFC Field 3!

Our JFC staff coaches will lead a hands-on clinic specifically for our recreational volunteer coaches. Come learn some simple, fun activities, get new ideas for practices, ask questions and feel more confident heading into the season.

No coaching experience? NO PROBLEM! You don’t have to be a soccer expert to make a difference. The most important thing our kids need is someone willing to show up, encourage them and help make soccer FUN!

Didn’t sign up to coach but thinking you might like to help? PLEASE REACH OUT! We would love to get you involved. You can even grab another parent and coach together. Learn alongside your child, make some great memories and help us give more kids a fun soccer season.

Our recreational program simply wouldn’t happen without volunteers, and we are incredibly thankful for everyone willing to step up for these kids!

📣 REGISTERED JFC REC FAMILIES: Be sure to keep a check on emails. Teams are being formed and as they are formed will be sent to the volunteer coaches to be in contact with parents. U4-U10 players will hear from coaches by Monday night. U12 and above will hear from coaches by September 4.

⚽️ READY, SET, KICK! ⚽️

Let’s KICKSTART the fall season!

We are just beginning the process of forming teams for the JFC Fall Recreational Season, but we don’t have to wait for team assignments to get back on the field!

Join us for JFC Kickstart Preseason Training. This is a chance for our younger players to get some touches on the ball, have fun, and get ready for opening day while teams are being formed.

⚽️ Open to all U4–U10 players registered for the JFC Fall Recreational Season! You do not need to have your team assignment yet to attend.

📣 TEAM FORMATION UPDATE:
We are just beginning the team formation process. All registered U4-U10 players will hear from a coach no later than Monday, August 24 at 6:00 PM. U12 and above will hear the next week after. We appreciate everyone’s patience while administration works to get things organized and get to the coordinators to begin forming teams.

VOLUNTEER COACHES:
If you signed up to coach during registration, we have you on our list, no need to do anything else right now! Be on the lookout for emails from a volunteer age group coordinator from JFC next week with information and next steps.

If you did not sign up during registration but would be willing to coach, please email us so we can get you added to the list. We rely on parent volunteers to make our recreational program possible, and we would love to have you! We always need more!

DAY 9 OF 13: EVERY PLAYER MATTERS

Some of today’s photos are throwbacks , because this message has been true at JFC for a very long time.

Every child who steps onto our fields matters.

The little one touching a soccer ball for the first time. The player who comes simply because they love being with their friends. The child still figuring out the game. The player who dreams of taking soccer as far as it can possibly take them.

Different ages. Different abilities. Different personalities. Different goals.

There is a place for all of them here.

For more than four decades, generations of kids have grown up on these fields. Some stayed for a season. Some stayed for years. Some went on to play at higher levels. But every one of them has been part of the story of JFC.

And that is something we never want to lose sight of.

We care about developing soccer players, but even more importantly, we care about kids. We care about families. We care about people.

That’s why at JFC, every player matters. 💙💚

And looking back at a few of these throwback photos is a pretty special reminder that the little kids wearing those JFC shirts today will one day be someone else’s throwback pictures. 🥹

From our very first recreational player taking their first kick, to our adult league players still chasing the game they love, JFC is one family.
