A Local Tradition Worth Preserving.

Opening in 1956 in the newly formed city of Jackson, South Carolina, the course that would later become known as "Jim & Lilie’s" holds the distinction of being the first small, non-municipal golf club in the CSRA. At a time when nearby Augusta and Aiken were defined by prestigious, exclusive courses, "Jim & Lilie’s" offered something radically different—accessible golf for everyday people.

Conceived and developed not by a city initiative or elite membership group, but by local vision and brought to life by individual effort. Often referred to as “a beginners dream", it quickly became a place where the barriers to entry disappeared, and the game belonged to anyone willing to pick up a club.

Over the decades, Jim & Lilie's grew into far more than just a golf course—it became a symbol of local identity.
Though the original course eventually closed, its story did not entirely fade—now as part of Boondock Farms, a portion of the course has been brought back as a driving range, allowing a new generation to connect with the same ground where so many first swings were taken.
