Congratulations to the LADY MOUNTIES, the Jackson Area Youth Sports Alliance's Middle School Champions for July 2026!!!

You did the improbable, but proved it was not the impossible! The #1 seeded Ace Assassins went a perfect 28-0 in the regular season, went through the bracket without losing a set (although hats off to the Aggie Attack who gave them a decent fight despite playing with only 5 players), and THEN......they ran into the Big Red Machine! In an EPIC first set, the Lady Mounties narrowly escaped with a 25-23 win, and then the Ace Assassins got their vengeance in set two with a 25-19 victory - - - which meant it all came down to set 3 and the Lady Mounties proved that it CAN be done, and was done by beating them 15-10 in the final set!

Great job, ladies - and great job to EVERYONE who came out and has spent the last month (or two) with us. Cassandra and I started JAYSA so that girls of all experience levels and backgrounds can come together and play a game that they all love and have FUN doing it. It's been great watching you all grow as players and young people over the past month or two. There's a lot of uncertainty up in the air right now as to when we will be back and what form it will be, but we will most definitely be back in some form at some point, so stay tuned! Themed open gym nights for middle school / high school volleyball will more than likely run out the rest of August - so if you feel like coming out and just playing some Queen of the Court or some other mini-games (maybe even a parents vs. kids night?) - - - STAY TUNED!!!!

Thanks to everyone who has made this a FANTASTIC first couple of seasons - you all rock! If anyone ever needs anything please do not hesitate to reach out! Enjoy the rest of your weekend....til we meet again!!!

The Jackson Area Youth Sports Alliance's High School season for July ended last night, with team BLUE GOOSE winning the championship! Congrats to the BLUE GOOSE!

The JAYSA Middle School Championship tournament for their JULY season will be held tomorrow (August 8th) at the Michigan Sports Facility at 9am! We highly encourage friends and family members to come out and cheer their girls on!! See some of you tomorrow!

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to your Jackson Area Youth Sports Alliance HIGH SCHOOL CHAMPIONS for JULY 2026 - - - BLUE GOOSE!!!

Last night was the end of July season for the High School division (NO TOURNAMENT ON SATURDAY FOR High School, Middle School starts at 9am) - - - and the Blue Goose showed once again why they were the dominant force of the league for July!

They ALMOST ran the table and went 20-0, but they lost by ONE point to the Pinkie Pies in round 1 last night. But that doesn't take away from the fact that they still went a staggering 19-1 for the season! They were missing some of their girls last night and they didn't care, they pressed on and fought like champions...and then they were crowned champions!

For a team that was randomly thrown together in the June season, to see these girls not only improve as a team but also see how even from an outside perspectice you can see how they've grown as friends is what this league is all about! The game comes secondary to the relationships and the memories that we all build together!

Congratulations to the Blue Goose, you played hard all year long and deserve those medals! Perhaps we will see you again sometime down the road! For now, bask in the glory, and know that you'll always have a spot on the JAYSA Wall of Fame!

As we enter August, with school sports hitting their pre-season stride, and schedules changing, we are having to shift a few things around and while we figure that out, there will be a hiatus on Open Gym during the day.....

We are working on setting up an EVENING open gym schedule instead, and we will announce that very soon.

As of right now though, please note - NO OPEN gym this week during the day. When we get the new schedule figured out, we will post it on here!

OPEN GYM from 9am - 4pm! $10 per person for all day volleyball, basketball! Pickleball coming very soon, too!

5pm - Doors open for Jackson Area Youth Sports Alliance's Middle School teams to come in and warm up!

Due to the air quality (or lack thereof), the Jackson Area Youth Sports Alliance's High School league is being postponed until August 6th.

As a result of that, our open gym will end at the regular scheduled time of 4pm today instead of 9pm. Sorry for the inconvenience but with as many times as the doors open during league nights we figured it was the safest thing to do.

Daily open gyms this week!

Monday - Wednesday 9am - 4pm! (all 3 courts)
Thursday - 9am - 9pm! (2 courts only after 5pm)

$10 per person. Basketball and volleyball courts open!

We've got good news and bad news, people! With part of our staff being on vacation we are going to have to NOT have open gym again today from 9am - 4pm!

However, we will be offering OPEN GYM today from 5pm - 9pm, as two of the courts will be open during the Jackson Area Youth Sports Alliance's High School Volleyball Night!

So if you've been down about the fact that our open gyms are during regular business hours, rejoice because for July we will be offering Open Gym on Thursdays from 5pm - 9pm (usually in addition to the day gym too just not this week)!

So grab your buddies and come down for Open Gym - PRIME TIME - tonight from 5pm - 9pm - only at the Michigan Sports Facility
