Pairings for Thursday's event at Heart of the Lakes GC in Brooklyn are posted!
It is a large field of over 90 players. The team BEST BALL component made this one a little more difficult to put together in the Golf Genius app. We had intended to get these pairings posted yesterday - apologies for any inconveniences.

Due to a glitch in the system, we were unable to text out tee times, but we did send emails.
Reminder that a BEST BALL is not the same as a SCRAMBLE. Each player will play his/her own ball throughout the hole, and the BEST score of the two players will be entered as the team score. If one member of the team has putted out for a 4, and the other is putting for a 5, that second player can simply pick up his/her ball and move to the next tee.

Help us celebrate our nation's 250th Birthday at Cascades GC next week!
Break out the Red, White and Blue when you come to Cascades GC on June 29 for the County Junior Open, sponsored by Willbee Transit-Mix and Exit Realty.
We will celebrate our nation's founding with a Red, White and Blue theme on the golf course!
We will also have a drawing for our appropriately-colored Red, White and Blue push cart that day. Every golfer who plays one of our first three events will have their name in the drawing. Golfers who play in all three events will have their names entered three times.

Hannah Beda is our first female Player of the Week!
At Deer Run GC on Tuesday, Hannah was seven-over-par after two holes, and then hit a tremendous tee shot on the always-challenging par 3 island green third hole and made a great par! She shot 53 on the day.
Hannah drove herself and three sisters to the event and had a lengthy wait for her siblings to complete their rounds, using the time to support others as they completed their rounds.
Fun fact: Hannah is ambidextrous, using her left side for tasks requiring dexterity (like writing), and her right side for tasks requiring strength (like swinging a softball bat and golf club).
Congratulations, Hannah! We're looking forward to seeing you do great things this summer!

David Furnas has been selected as our first male Player of the Week!
At Deer Run GC on Tuesday, David got off to an awful start with a double-bogey and quad, but maintained his composure and reeled off five consecutive pars! He finished his round with a 44. Great job, David. Your positive attitude, resilience and perseverance will take you far in life!

We had a great turnout of about 65 kids on Friday for the Jackson Area Youth Golf Clinic!
Special thanks to Arbor Hills GC for being great hosts, along with our sponsor Partners Bulk Logistics.
The kids got great instruction from local instructors and high school and college coaches including: Henry Thompson, Patrick Murphy and Ben Maino from the Country Club of Jackson; Nito Ramos, coach at Olivet College; Garrett Ramos of Highland Meadows Golf Club; Doug Hanson of Cascades GC; Teresa Nagy, Western HS girls coach; Brad Maska, Onsted HS boys coach; Don McCubbins, Napoleon HS girls coach; and Anna McCubbins of Saginaw Valley State University.

Two event registration deadlines are fast approaching.
Registration for the Best Ball event on June 25 at Heart of the Lakes GC, sponsored by Kelly Fuels and Penn Chiropractic, closes at 5 pm Sunday (6/21/26). On the Google Form linked below, make sure you indicate your partner of choice
And the June 29 Jackson County Junior Open at Cascades GC, sponsored by Exit Realty and Willbee Transit-Mix, has a deadline registration of 5 pm Thursday (6/25/26).
As of this afternoon, there are 78 golfers registered for Heart of the Lakes GC, and 62 for Cascades GC.

We have two partner events this summer. * Our June 25 event at Heart of the Lakes GC is a BEST BALL Team Event. Golfers will play with a partner. Both golfers will play THEIR OWN BALL throughout the hole. The lowest score of the two partners will be recorded as the TEAM SCORE on each hole. For examp...

We're excited to announce a new feature of the RW Mercer Jackson Junior Golf Tour.
Each week we will share a male and female Player of the Week!
Selections will be made by our Tour event staff, and our criteria is pretty open-ended. Our selections are based on demonstration of the values inherit in the game of golf. We'll be spotlighting kids who demonstrate great attitudes, sportsmanship, integrity, resilience, and perseverance.
We have so many great kids to spotlight, and are sorry we won't be able to recognize every deserving Tour player.
