📊 Score Sheet Review LIVE with Gabby Mauro! 💜

Today we’re getting a front-row seat to one of the most valuable sessions of the entire conference!

We’re diving deep into the OCS Score Sheet with Gabby Mauro to understand exactly how routines are evaluated from a judge’s perspective—not just what scores are given, but why they’re given.

We’re learning:
⭐ How to maximize Degree of Difficulty
⭐ What judges are really looking for in Technique
⭐ How to strategically build routines throughout the season
⭐ Where subjectivity comes into play—and how to use it to our advantage

One of the biggest takeaways? Some of the most valuable information isn’t available online. It isn’t in a rulebook. It isn’t on a replay.

The conversations, the judge insights, the live demonstrations, the routine breakdowns, and the opportunity to ask questions in real time are experiences that are exclusive to the coaches who made the trip to be here in person.

Every page of notes, every discussion, and every “aha” moment is something we’re bringing back to Kobalt Cheer. We believe our athletes deserve coaches who never stop learning, growing, and investing in becoming better.

Our coaching staff is excited to spend today at Levels 1–6 Hands-On Legality Stunt Training! We’re learning directly from experienced judges through live demonstrations, asking questions, and breaking down the ins and outs of the scoresheet so we can continue bringing the best coaching possible back to our athletes!

Every opportunity to learn is an opportunity to grow, and we’re excited to bring fresh knowledge back home to Kobalt Cheer! 📣

Big things are happening at Kobalt Cheer! 💙⭐

This weekend, our coaching staff is investing in something bigger than themselves and bigger than just our gym.

We’re proud to be attending The Open Academy to complete Coach Audit Training while also working toward becoming Certified Cheer Judges.

Why does that matter?

Because the best coaches never stop learning.

By sitting on both sides of the scoresheet, we’ll gain a deeper understanding of what judges are looking for, how routines are evaluated, and how to better prepare our athletes for success. Every class we attend, every certification we earn, and every hour we spend learning is an investment back into our Kobalt Cheer family.

We’re incredibly excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to bring home new knowledge, fresh ideas, and an even stronger understanding of our sport.
