there are certain things you must realize and accept as the constant when choosing to participate in Taekwondo before you can actually begin to experience the feeling of being a worthwhile instructor. you are the example everyone is looking to. students and parents. you must endure what others do not. you must sacrifice what others will not. you must be prepared to have no qualms about telling someone they are wrong. you must be patient. you must show someone the same technique over and over and over until they understand and get it right over and over and over. you are the practice dummy that everyone is allowed to hit, kick, twist and throw. you will be injured. you will bleed. you will wish you could breath. you will hurt. you will wish you could stop. you will wish you could cry. you will reassure the students it is alright. you must be humble to the point that you understand and explain their failure is not their's but your's.
once you completely accept, understand, and believe this, that is the moment you can stand up at the front of the class.
you have to say "OK". I want to be apart of your world.
