Sam's Dream Adventure day 3!

We continue to see plenty of moose. Still looking for the right moose for Sam's! He has passed a couple small bulls in hopes of connecting with a good one. Let's hope the rain brings him a better fortune!

Pete got it done tonight! We played it safe and had Tyler get his dog Scooter some work. Turns out we were no more than 20 yards from the bear on our initial search but it was so thick we had no idea. Scooter made quick work of the track and we recovered the bear. More pictures and weight in the morning!

Day 2 ended with a bang! Aiden the ol’ sharpshooter dropped the hammer on this beautiful white patch bear! 11 years old, beat leukemia, and now he has harvested his first bear. Big smiles at camp tonight!

Week 3 of the Maine bear hunt! This week we welcome Aiden and Pete to Jackman. Aiden was one of our Moose Maine Kids Dream Adventure hunters last year. The first evening was awesome. Aiden and I had a huge fisher come in right before dark. We were pretty sure there was a bear not far away but it never committed. Pete watched a yearling cautiously come in to the barrel and decided to give him a pass this time. Back at it tomorrow!
