The Forest has closed Chimney Top and Rock Bridge Roads to all motorized vehicles for the season.

Winter closure of these roads protects the surface from damage during periods of freezing, thawing, and saturation, ensuring decent road conditions come spring. Road closures also help aid in the protection of sensitive wildlife and plant species.

The closure begins at each road's intersection with KY715. Foot traffic and bicyclists are welcome to travel behind the closed gate, but all motorized vehicles must park in designated, paved parking areas along the KY715 corridor. Vehicles are not allowed to park in front of closed gates.
