🏁 Race Recap – Pine Ridge Speedway 🏁

MPR has been hard at work all off season, and we were finally able to get the car back together and hit the track for our first race of the season Friday night at Pine Ridge Speedway.

We rolled out with a new shock package from Mark Tutor Racing, and the car showed speed right out of the gate. We set fast time, which put us on the pole for the heat race. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the start we needed and finished P2, lining us up P3 for the feature.

If you weren’t at The Ridge, you missed one heck of a 604 feature. From the drop of the green, we battled hard inside the top 4 lap after lap. The top two eventually started to pull away as our car faded a bit, but a late caution after MPR teammate Clent Busby cut a tire while battling for the lead bunched the field back up.

On the restart, we drove it in hard on the bottom and went 3-wide for the lead coming off turn two. We had to check up getting into turn three, which dropped us back to P4, and that’s where we would finish.

All in all, a solid night. We learned a lot and started building a new notebook with this package.

Last night at The Ridge… it finally felt like all those long hours paid off.

From the first green flag to the last checkered, it was wide open racing. We had cars going 3-wide, slide jobs being thrown all over the track, and drivers leaving it all out there every single lap. That’s the kind of racing we work for.

80 cars in attendance — and every one of you brought the show.

As a track owner, I can tell you… this doesn’t happen without the people behind it. The drivers who show up ready to race, the crews who put in the work, and the fans who fill the stands week after week.

Thank you for supporting Pineridge Speedway.

Because of you, The Ridge is alive and growing. Because of you, we get nights like last night.

And if you were there… you already know.

We threw just enough parts and a few sticker on her and headed to PineRidge Speedway for the first race of the year. Got a new shock package from Mark Tutor racing and made a world of difference. Qualifying P1 first night out. We’ll see what the night brings.

Our Thoughts and Prayers are with Glenn Baswell’s Family and Friends.

Glenn watched over us on race weekends at The MAG. From helping at the pit gate, to cutting grass, picking up trash and looking after Johnny as he worked the track late nights, he would sit in turn 2 on his golf cart. Glenn was always there, he will be greatly missed. ✝️🏁
