Lindseth Climbing Center

Lindseth Climbing Center 8,000 sf of Bouldering, Top Rope, and Sport Lead Climbing at Cornell University. This facility is currently limited to Cornell University PE credit courses.

Stay tuned for updates about broader access to the Cornell community and others. We offer day, semester, and annual passes to climb during our open hours, but we also offer private climbing opportunities for individuals and groups. We regularly host birthday parties, scout troops, youth organizations, student organizations, and many other groups at the climbing wall. Contact specialprograms@cornel

l.edu for pricing and availability for individual or group programs. The climbing surface consists of natural rocks embedded into concrete blocks, combined with sculpted forms of high-aggregate concrete. In addition to face climbs, the climbing wall also has both finger and hand cracks, overhangs, arêtes, slabs, and chimneys. At the Lindseth Climbing Wall there are opportunities for climbers of any ability level to develop their confidence and climbing skills, challenge themselves, and have fun.

Hey climbers! HVAC maintenance will be happening at the climbing wall in August, and will result in a pause on recreational climbing for us. The project window is Monday, August 1 through Friday, August 12; we will be closed during that time.

If we are able to arrange for safe Open Hours climbing during that time, we will post about it, but don't get your hopes up!

Sorry for the pause. We hope you can come this Friday or Saturday to get your hands on the new sets. Otherwise, we will see you later in August.

Starting Monday, June 7, LCC will open its doors once again to Cornell students, staff, faculty, alumni, their families and guests, and community affiliated climbers! Head to our website for hours, fees, and all the details about climbing with us.

We expect to be busy these first couple weeks, and will not be running our Intro classes, so those of you seeking affiliation will have to wait a bit longer. Please be patient, too, if we have filled up when you arrive, we are still limited in our capacity.

We look forward to hosting you all throughout the summer!
