This past Sunday (May 17th, 2026), the Ithaca Youth Bureau Recreation Division held it's annual Junior Olympics event at Ithaca High School. Our young participants competed in running, jumping, and throwing events on a beautiful Sunday morning! On behalf of the IYB, we would like to thank all of our program participants and families for attending the event and look forward to running it again next year.

We would also like to thanks the Ithaca High School athletic department, the IYB Track coaches, and all of the IHS Track coaches and volunteers who helped run the event. We would also like to thanks Newfield Recreation, Greater Ithaca Activities Center After School Youth Program & Dryden Recreation for their participation.

Whose interested in running this Spring? Our IYB Youth Track Session 2 program registration is still open! This program takes place every Monday and Wednesday evening at Stewart Park from 6:15pm-7:30pm! Session 2 of IYB Youth Track runs from June 1st - July 1st! This program is one of our most popular is and is led by an experienced head coach in Lizzie Rayle. If you're interested in this program, sign up today!

The Ithaca Youth Bureau Recreation Division would like to send a friendly reminder that we will not have boys or girls Lacrosse practices on Sunday in observation of Mother's Day! (Sunday, May 10th) This was a scheduled off day for both programs. We hope all of our Lacrosse mom's enjoy a wonderful day!
