Great news from the University of Oregon where Illinois Rocker Kwame Agyman has accepted a position as Assistant Defensive Coach for the Oregon Ducks Football Team. Pictured second from right in a group shot at the 2016 Alamo Bowl, Kwame played four (4) years for the Ducks at Outside Linebacker and Strong Safety starting as a Junior and Senior. I remember Kwame fondly from the first day he arrived at a Rockers Workout as a 5th Grader brand new to the game but with and attitude and passion that was nothing short of infectious. A tireless worker, Kwame developed his game an athleticism in a methodical manner eventually becoming a ferocious competitor on the court. But, alas, as an 8th Grader the football bug caught-up with Kwame and while he still remained committed to the game of basketball (Kwame was a star performer for 3 years on a Lake Park Varsity Team that won 77 games during the same period) he dedicated more time to his football development. Needless to say it worked out quite well for Kwame as he went on to become an All-State Performer finding himself in the middle of an intense recruiting war between Major College Football Programs from around the country seeking his services. To this day Kwame credits his commitment to the Rockers for instilling in him the importance of constant hard work in order to develop the athleticism and skills necessary to become a dominant athlete no matter the sport and/or level you are competing at. Not to mention the way these same principles apply to all aspects of life.

Taking a break from a Training Session with Daniel and Patrick Raupp. Or as I call them, "The Mt. Prospect Splash Brothers". Daniel just completed 6th Grade at South Middle School and Patrick 4th Grade at Windsor Elementary. Both Daniel and Patrick are two tremendously committed young athletes who are are extremely coach-able and committed to developing all parts of their games.

Congratulations to Illinois Rocker Jack Vaselaney for being named to the Daily Herald All-Area Baseball Team! Jack, only a Sophomore, is also a two-time Daily Herald All-Area Performer for the Buffalo Grove Varsity Basketball Squad. A two (2) sport All-Area Honoree in the same year as a Sophomore...Quite an accomplishment to say the least!

Great having Illinois Rocker David Delgado back in the gym recently. David, a 2011 Graduate of Mundelein High School and integral member of a 29 - 5 team that was among the top teams in the state that year, finished a four (4) year playing career at Coe College in 2015 while majoring in Physics. Always one to push himself to a higher level David is currently pursuing a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern University and is looking forward to being back working with younger Rockers as his challenging schedule allows.

Preparing young up-and-coming Illinois Rocker Zack Duncan for his trip to the 2016 University of North Carolina Summer Basketball Camp. Zack just completed 5th Grade at Patton Elementary School and competes at a level far beyond his years. A warning to All-ACC Guard Marcus Paige (Pictured with Zack) - A new Zack Duncan has arrived this year and he wants to walk away a winner in your annual knock-out competition. I like Zack's chances.
