Killer White Charters

Well, the end of an era is upon us. One of the Islamorada fishing fleet icons, the "Killer White" is being sold. Took her out on her final charter a couple of days ago.
She was sold to a commercial fish market and from what I understand, she will be stripped and converted to a commercial boat. It was nice running her for the last 2 years even with the issues of being used hard for the last 30 some years. Not the first captain in town to have a boat sold out from under them and I'm sure I won't be the last. Now to find my next "Ride"

Nice start to a day of fishing with an incredible family out to honor their Mom and wife of Dad. Excellent variety, eating type, fun type and finally the one that kept taking the bottom bate.

For the 2013 USMC Florida Keys Toys for Tots weekend, we are trying to produce a 360 degree panorama shot and video of the Poker Run. I need one of the Riders in the Poker Run to let a photographer from the company ride UP if possible from the middle of the pack. Transportation to and from the Poker Run is provided by the company producing the shot. Please contact me to let me know if one of you would like to participate in this project. Ladies & Gentlemen:
The government shutdown does not affect Local Community Organization Toys for Tots campaign sites. While there may be a few military/federal government sites among our LCO's who ARE affected, most are carried out by volunteers, and this minor speed bump will not disrupt our community service.

Continue to march......Toys for Tots will operate uninterrupted in nearly 600 cities and towns across America. The people in your communities will see that even though the federal government may not be operating normally, Toys for Tots is!

Biscayne National Park may be closed due to the government shutdown, but law enforcement will allow the annual Columbus Day tie-up and party to go on in the waters of Biscayne National Park.
