💙 Register now and support youth sportfishing! Since 1964, the Islamorada Junior Sailfish Tournament has celebrated the tradition of youth fishing in the Florida Keys. Originally a division under the Islamorada Sailfish Tournament, the event has introduced generations of kids to the thrill of offshore fishing, sportsmanship, and con

servation. For 61 years, families and captains have come together to pass down skills, honor the ocean, and shape the next wave of anglers. The IJST is more than a tournament, it’s a living piece of Florida Keys history.

Sun, salt, and a weekend at Lefty Kreh’s Tie Fest ☀️🎣

From tournament sails to springtime fishing, the next generation keeps it rolling and Free Fly always shows up. The Colorblock Bamboo Shade Hoodie for youth is a no-brainer. Lightweight, breathable, and built for it all.

Parents… the Sullivan Collection isn’t a bad idea either 👀

This tournament runs on community. From our sponsors and volunteers to the families who keep saying yes to getting these kids on the water. I’m beyond grateful to Free Fly for stepping up as presenting sponsor and for our partnership with the Coral Shores High School Fishing Club, which allows this event to give back directly to the next generation right here in the Keys.

Give our amazing sponsors a follow on social media and check out the awesome products they have.

Still riding the high from an incredible weekend.

We wrapped up the 61st Islamorada Junior Sailfish Tournament last weekend with 23 anglers, 10 teams, and 31 sailfish released — and honestly, I couldn’t be more proud of this group of kids, families, and captains.

Congratulations to our winners:
🏆 Grand Champion: Vivalavida (700 points)
🥈 1st Runner Up: Contagious (600 points)
🥉 2nd Runner Up: Slamtime (500 points)

🚩 Top Junior Angler: Kaiden S. - Contagious (4 Sails Relased)
🚩 Top Dolphin: Nicholas S. - Smile Maker
🚩 Top Kingfish: Cash W. - Silent Hunter
🚩 Top Tuna: Parker I. - Smile Maker

Thank you to everyone who made this weekend what it was. Sails up, always.

🏆 Grand Champion: Vivalavida — 700 points
🥈 1st Runner Up: Contagious — 600 points
🥉 2nd Runner Up: Slamtime — 500 points

This fleet showed up in a big way. 31 sailfish released, including first sails for Morada, Charlotte, and Kaiden — moments that matter more than any score.

Kaiden also earned Top Junior Angler honors with 4 releases, proving that grit, focus, and time on the rod pay off.

From M.E. closing out a double header on Dongimo to end Day 1 and backing it up with a 30 lb wahoo on Day 2, to Parker fishing his final IJST after aging out — this weekend was about growth, determination, and memories that truly mean more than placings.

So proud of every kid, every team, and every fish released. This is what the Islamorada Junior Sailfish Tournament is all about. 🎣

How to bid in our Silent Auction (it’s easy, we promise).

We’re using Zeffy so every dollar raised goes straight back into the kids and the tournament — not platform fees.

When placing a bid, you’ll see an option to add an extra contribution to Zeffy to help keep their service free for nonprofits. That contribution is completely optional and can be adjusted or removed before checkout.

Over 25 items. Starting bids well below retail.
Bidding is live now and closes after awards.

Day 1 is a wrap and what a day it was.

From double hookups to dance parties, these kids showed up and showed out. The weather built this afternoon, the sails followed, and the energy stayed high all day. We ended Day 1 with 11 sailfish releases plus some solid fun fish along the way.

Day 2 is tomorrow and this leaderboard is wide open — it’s shaping up to be a showdown.

Huge shoutout to Free Fly for keeping our anglers dialed in and looking good on the water, and to everyone supporting our online Silent Auction, which is live now and packed with unreal gear and art.

Even better, this year’s tournament proudly gives back to the Coral Shores High School Fishing Club, helping support the next generation of anglers right here in the Keys.

So proud of these kiddos. Let’s do it again tomorrow. 🎣
