King Fitz finished 3rd at state, and it wasn’t perfect. He took a loss he shouldn’t have, but that’s part of the game. What mattered was how he responded. He didn’t fold, didn’t sulk, didn’t make excuses. He reset, went back to work, and still stood on the podium.

That tells me more than an undefeated day ever could. Growth, composure, and fight. Proud of him for pushing through and finishing strong.

King went 3-1 today.

Congratulations to King Fitz for placing first today in his first USA wrestling tournament of the season in the D3 110 weight class.

Last night at the tournament in Irving, King took a few tough losses against a kid he’s beat before, but that’s part of the grind. We came in with no practice since football season is still going, and it showed a lot. Even I was upset at first, but knowing my son’s potential, I remind myself to be patient as we head into the new season. He’s turning that frustration into motivation and getting ready to come back stronger. Every setback is just another setup for what’s next. Stay tuned!

Preseason grind 💪🏽

This was from the TexaSports Monster Mash takedown tournament. He only wrestled once — jammed a few fingers earlier that day in the football playoff game, so we played it smart. Still came out, handled business, and got some good mat work in before the season starts.

No excuses, just work. Season loading. 🔥

Meet King Fitz — athlete on and off the mat. He plays football for the Arlington Apaches and wrestles for the Aggtown Rangers.

Last season, he finished ranked number two in Folkstyle, number three in Freestyle, and number two at Greco State. The new wrestling season starts in just a few weeks, and his football team is already in week two of the playoffs.

He’s still learning, still growing, and putting in the work every day. Follow his journey as he continues to develop, stay humble, and chase his dream of playing college football one day.
