Jiujitsu changes lives but don’t just take our word for it. Here is what has to say- “I started this BJJ journey almost a year not really knowing what I was getting myself into.

I originally signed up because my son was training and I just wanted to join him for fun.

The first few months were rough. There were plenty of days I wanted to quit, but for some reason I kept coming back. Little by little, I stopped getting dominated as easily. I started learning, improving, and eventually fell in love with the sport.

As I began seeing progress on the mats, I also started seeing changes off the mats. I cleaned up my diet so I could have better rolls, focused more on recovery, and before I knew it, this became part of my everyday life. It didn’t just change how I train, it improved me in all areas of my life .

My coaches pushed me to compete, so I signed up for the IBJJF Dallas Winter Open and came out with a win. That triggered something in me to continue improving myself, not only on the mats but off the mats as well.

I started at 315 lbs.

Weighed in today at 258.

Still a long way to go; but I’m not stopping.” -Aaron
