Well, last night was a slow night of fishing... our first really slow one of the year. We managed 5 walleyes, a couple sheephead, and a nice smallmouth, but the fish just weren't where they'd been.

Even though the bite was tough, the laughs and jokes more than made up for it. Norm and Randy took home Walleye Champ honors for the night, with Norm (or Roy... inside joke 😂) putting 3 in the boat and Randy adding 2.

We'll try to get them figured out next time. That's fishing! The good news is we still have a couple more weeks of night fishing left, so there's plenty of time to get back on them.

Today we had Jeremy, Jake, and Big Bear fishing with us. We weren't sure the wind was going to let us get out, but it laid down nicely and turned into a beautiful evening on the water.

It turned into a pretty quick night once the sun hit the water. A big thank you to Reed Carney for sharing some color choices that helped put fish in the boat even faster—Black/Gold, Hot Steel, and Black/White were the ticket tonight.

Fun, busy night with great company and plenty of action!

With the weather, wind, and timing this year, we weren’t able to book a trip last night… so my dad and his buddies went instead. He said it was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing nights he’s had on the lake. The sunset was incredible, the company was even better… oh, and they still managed a 3-man limit. 🎣

In his words, “Lake life doesn’t get much better than this.”

We’re still booking nighttime charters, bottom bouncing trips, and our normal summer trolling trips. If you’d like to get out and experience the beautiful sunrises, sunsets, and everything Lake Erie has to offer, give us a call, text, or message.

Another fun trip with Micheal, Dennis, and Dave! Honestly, the sky alone made the whole night worth it, the camera just doesn’t do it justice.

We had a great night full of laughs, good company, and steady fishing action. The fish were definitely a little finicky, and we had to keep switching up lures to stay on them, but it paid off. We were able to get our 3-man limit, plus a few extra throwbacks and some non-target fish mixed in to keep things interesting.

Today we honor the heroes who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy every day. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

From all of us at Reel Time Charters, thank you to the brave men and women who served and especially to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We hope everyone takes a moment today to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day while enjoying time with family, friends, and the outdoors.

First walleye trip of the year and we’re officially back at it! 🎣

Had an awesome night on the water, so busy fishing we barely stopped for pictures. That’s usually a good sign!

Huge thank you to Captain John Forbes of Time Two Charters for giving us the cheat code today on where to fish, how deep, and what colors to run! After that, it was just reel, reel, reel. 🎣

The old guys definitely earned some sore arms today. My dad, our buddy John, and mate Randy had an absolute blast and a heck of a day on the water. Great fishing, great laughs, and memories we’ll be talking about for a long time.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there the ones running on coffee and chaos, showing up day after day, loving hard even when they’re exhausted.

Today we celebrate the moms in the stands, on the docks, packing lunches before sunrise, cheering the loudest, taking the pictures, wiping the tears, and somehow still holding everything together.

Whether you’re spending today on the water, around the table, or just soaking in the little moments we hope you feel appreciated today and every day.

Another wrap on our YMCA 8-week fishing classes. 🎣

So much fun, energy, and enthusiasm packed into these past several weeks. We spent time casting, learning new skills, making two different types of lures, and wrapping it all up with two field trips to end the classes on a high note.

Watching the excitement grow each week and seeing kids get more confident around fishing has been one of the best parts. Thanks to everyone who came out, learned with us, laughed with us, and made this another great season of classes. Already looking forward to the next one!
