Congratulations to Sera Sabounjian, our August Player of the Month! 🥅⭐️🏒

🏒 Sera is in her first season of 6U hockey, playing on Team Sesame Street in the Great Park Ice Rec League.

🥅 She has been working hard and learning the game every week, in her first season at GPI.

👏 Sera gives her best effort every shift, and has shown fantastic growth on the ice. Her positive attitude, confidence, willingness to support her teammates, and commitment to playing hard, make her a great teammate.

2026 Team Raf summer camps are in the books! ⛸️

Thank you to all the skaters that attended a 2026 TeamRaf High Performance Summer Academy camp this month, for three days of intensive figure skating training on and off the ice at Great Park Ice!

Meet Theia Chen, our August Skater of the Month! ⛸️⭐️✨

⛸️ Theia has been training at Great Park Ice for four years, and loves participating in figure skating competitions.

🥇 She recently placed first in her Aspire 1 group, with the second highest score among all thirty Aspire 1 competitors.

🥞 Theia recently masted the pancake spin, which we're sure would make her favorite skater, Lucinda Ruh, very proud!

July's Great Park Ice Skater of the Month is Cayden Roberts! ⛸️⭐️👏

⛸️ Cayden has been skating for two years, and is currently competing in Basic 4.

⭐️ You can often find Cayden on the ice learning new figure skating skills, and performing his favorite one: three turns!

🍕 Cayden's favorite color is pink, and he loves pepperoni pizza. He's also learning Korean!

Congratulations to Daniel Kotowitz, our July Player of the Month! ⭐️🏒👏

🏒 Daniel is in his first season of 10U hockey, after spending the last two years playing 8U, and he has made the jump with confidence. He brings a great attitude to the rink every day, always has a smile on his face, listens to his coaches, and has a genuine passion for the game.

🥅 This season, Daniel has impressed with timely goals, smart passes, and strong decision-making on the ice. His hard work and dedication show every time he plays.

We recently hosted our fourth annual Disabled Hockey Jamboree, presented by Easterseals SoCal at Great Park Ice!

Coaches (including Anaheim Ducks alumni Jeff Friesen and David Karpa), hockey gear, and ice time were provided to put on Sled Hockey and Special Hockey clinics for kids interested in trying adaptive hockey.

Thank you to everyone who joined us! We hope to see you all on the ice again soon. 🏒
