Just a quick thank you to our 14 volunteers who worked very hard this morning. Only a few pics-no time! The revised turn coming down Sulo’s Loop will greatly enhance the skier’s experience! Thank you Arla Mae Romo!

Wolverine workbee is this Wednesday, 8/12/26 from 8:00am-noon. We would love to see you!

Here is the running list of 2026 summer work bee projects:
Continue new garage electrical wiring (Wiring tools)
Cut up and transport firewood from the lower Novice loop to the stadium (Need chainsaw and PPE)
Put treadway back on the 3 Sisters bridge (Need impact driver)
Pick rocks and rake on ski trail reroute/widening project off of Sulos field (yes we completed the trail work!!) (Bring gloves and a garden rake)
Pick rocks at Snow Summit parking lot, where we added a significant amount pit run gravel to improve the parking lot (Same equipment needed as above)
Install a 2nd Google Nest camera to the chalet for security and we**am purposes (Screwdriver, etc)
Cut brush on selected trails (Novice, wax loop, pond loop, etc) we have brush trimmers and PPE
Extend Pond Loop snow fence (Future work bee)

Wolverine workbee is on Saturday, 7/18/26 from 8:00am - Noon. See below for more detail.

Note we expect that we will be experiencing smoke from the north during the work bee. How much and how severe it will be is unknown but please use caution and it is your own personal choice whether to work in these conditions or not. A face mask like a N95 may be helpful to filter out the smoke.

Please bring gloves and a head net, as it is July and we have traded in the mosquitos for deer flies (in my experience insect repellent doesn't work on deer flies)! We need a few more kindling boxes to hold the massive amount of kindling we made in June, so if you have a few boxes to spare please bring them. Please continue to save and bring old newspapers for the chalet openers for lighting fires as newspapers are becoming hard to find.

Here is the running list of 2026 summer work bee projects:
1. Put wood preservative on the 3 Sisters and Hospital loop bridges
2. Cut dead and almost dead trees on trails, make some firewood (bring a saw if you have one)
3. Repair snow fence on Cliff Hanger and Sulos Field downhill (completed at June 2026 work bee)
4. W**d whack around the chalet and outbuildings ( 1st installment completed at June 2026 work bee)
5. Repair sawhorses
6. Make kindling from wood on site from Bratu's (completed at June 2026 work bee)
7. Move leftover firewood into one shed (completed at June 2026 work bee)
8. Extend Pond Loop snow fence (Future work bee)
9. Complete new garage electrical wiring (we now have power to it and most of the wire run)
10. Assist with rock marking/painting/removal for trail mowing
11. Install keypad accessible dead bolt on chalet (completed at June 2026 work bee)
12. Cut brush on selected trails (Novice, wax loop, pond loop, etc) we have brush trimmers
13. Any many other type 2 fun activities!

All mountain bike trails are cleared, blown off and open at Wolverine. Some areas are a little wet yet but are rideable. Please stay off the ski trails as they are softer than the mountain bike trails. Have a great summer!🚴🏼‍♀️🚵🏻‍♂️
