Update. Some things changed and we’re not gonna make it to race this weekend. As of right now, our plans are to be at North Alabama Speedway in a couple weeks. Y’all get out and support them tomorrow night (Friday) if you can.

Friday night recap
We went to North Alabama Speedway for a weekly race. A good field of 15 cars signed in for our class.

The car was good in hot laps. Dillan would post the 2nd fastest time of the field.

Pill draw set us up to roll off from the 5th position in the heat race. Dillan was able to move up to 2nd pretty quickly. While battling for the lead, him and the leader made contact and the leader spun. It was just one of those racing deals and a tough call to make, but we definitely didn’t think the caution should have been on Dillan. Despite what we thought, Dillan was sent to the rear. He was able to pick up a couple spots in the closing laps to finish 6th. This would lock us in to an 11th place starting spot for the feature.

Back in the pits, we talked about it and decided instead of starting 11th and taking a chance on getting in a wreck and tearing our car up (because that’s how our year has gone) we would just start in the back and make one lap to get our start money then pull off. Well, Dillan being Dillan, at the very last second, changed his mind and decided he’d ride way in the back and see if any cars fell out early then start racing if they did.

Turns out, it was a pretty good strategy as there were a couple of early cautions and he missed one big pileup that moved him to 11th on the track. After this, he decided to line up and see if he could move forward. The race would go green the rest of the way and Dillan was able to drive from 11th to take the checkered in 6th.

It definitely wasn’t the finish we wanted, but we were able to salvage a decent finish with no damage. The car is really good right now and we’re looking forward to our next race. We’ll post later on about when and where that will be.

To race or not to race?

The car is loaded and ready to head to the track, but they’re saying it will start raining by 8 o’clock. We’re waiting till the last minute to see what the radar is showing before we make a decision.

It’s been nearly a month since we have gotten to race. About time to knock the dust off this thing and head to North Alabama Speedway tomorrow night. Hope to see yall there!

We are planning to be at North Alabama Speedway Friday night. We still have several shirts available. Got a couple youth small for the kiddos.
The camo shirts have been pretty popular. We have 2 2x Tshirts and 1 xl long sleeve Tshirt left in camo. We also have a couple xl blue hoodies, perfect for these cooler nights at the track.
