Good morning. Today is the day. Hundreds marked going. Thousands marked interested. The whole County is talking about it. Multiple flagged up boats spotted with out of state registration!! Thanks for spreading the word!!!
We are getting a lot of questions along the lines of "does a boat have to have flags to be in the parade?" The answer is no, all boats, all Americans are welcome flag(s) or no flag(s)!!! PS. We pre-disavow any fringe display/behavior. Cleary not what we are going for here today as we represent Iowa Nice, Freedom, and America. Hopefully, there are no morons today.
Anyways, with the likelihood of a lot of traffic at the Bridge, a lot of us intend on hanging out in "Patriot Party Cove," which is essentially the open area the Northeast of the bridge.
The DNR and the Johnson County Sheriffs Office are fully aware of the event and will have personnel in the area. THANK YOU! BACK THE BLUE!
We do suggest making your way towards the bridge and Patriot Cove slightly earlier than anticipated.
Please post pictures and videos! Use whatever hashtags you would like, tag whoever you would like. Once again, we pre-disavow any idiots.
The Mehaffey Boat ramp/parking lot is likely to be busy since bridge observers will be parking there, too, so if you can launch from another public ramp, please do so.
BE SAFE, BE SMART! HAVE FUN! WEATHER IS PERFECT!!!
