Emily brings an incredible playing background, a passion for athlete development, and a wealth of knowledge both on and off the volleyball court.
A five-year starter at the University of Northern Iowa, Emily was a standout Panther who earned numerous honors throughout her collegiate career, including First Team All-MVC, MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, MVC Scholar-Athlete Team honors, and AVCA All-Midwest Region Honorable Mention recognition. She finished her UNI career as the programâs all-time leader in career attack attempts, while ranking among the programâs leaders in career kills, sets played, and matches played. She also completed her career without missing a single contest.
Following her collegiate career, Emily took her talents overseas, spending a season playing professional volleyball with BĂ©ziers Angels in BĂ©ziers, France. đ«đ·đ
Emily has continued to grow her passion for developing athletes through performance training and is in her second year as a Strength & Conditioning coach with Iowa United.
Academically, Emily earned her Bachelorâs degree in Exercise Science and her Masterâs degree in Kinesiology and Sport Performance, giving her a strong foundation in the physical and mental development of young athletes.
But what makes Emily such an exciting addition to our coaching staff goes beyond her impressive resume.
Emily is passionate about helping young athletes become better versions of themselves both on and off the court, while positively impacting the people around them. She believes in developing confident, hardworking, resilient athletes who understand that success is about so much more than the scoreboard.
We are incredibly excited to have Emily leading our 132 Elite team and look forward to seeing the impact she will have on this group of athletes!
