Iola Winter Sports Club Make yourself at home! Feel free to throw a log on the fire if you're cold:) A hidden gem in central Wisconsin!

Over 20km of groomed cross country ski trails for both classic and skate techniques, with 4 miles of lighted trails (the longest in the state of Wisconsin!). Check our website for trail maps (https://www.iolawintersportsclub.org/Trails.html). There is also a snowshoe trail that traverses the diverse terrain of our 160+ acre property. IWSC has a long history of ski jumping as well, with 5 ski jumps

(5, 15, 25, 40, and 60 meter), and still hosts USSA sanctioned ski jumping tournaments. IWSC is open to the public, and folks have the option of a daily or annual pass which can both be purchased online at our website. We offer equipment rentals from our cozy chalet for anyone wanting to give the sport a try. There is also a very active youth ski program and team for middle school and high school students from the area; check website for details. Our trails are also mowed in the summer for foot and paw traffic only, and remember to pick up after your pet.

Weekend IWSC trail report: trails are in good shape, the rain and cooler temps have firmed them up nicely although we do still have some loose corners in a few spots. We are in need of a few more volunteers for the Fall Classic.

We have a couple slots open for registration from 7:45 to 10am.

We have two slots for help with collecting runners numbers in the finish chute from 10:15 to noon and noon to 2pm.

We also need two course officials to stand at a point on course from 10am to 2pm and direct runners.

Mountain bike trails are open and ready to go after a long day of cleaning up the aftermath of 4” of rain!

All trails will be closed tomorrow (Wednesday 9/2) starting at 2pm until 8pm for the Iola/Scandinavia Cross Country Meet. Come out and cheer on the kids but trails will be closed.

Trails are in good shape these days! Some sandy spots due to a lack of moisture but overall fun and fast so come back this weekend to check them out!

New section of trail is open on the pink. It’s a new trail so there is some sandy areas but overall a fun and twisty section that gets rid of the ski trail detour.

Come on out and ride over the weekend and check it out!

Out here finishing up a new section of the pink trail. This will get rid of the detour and add just under a mile to the pink trail. Should be open by the weekend, I’ll keep you updated!

We are excited that our Iola Fall Classic Trail Races are back this October! Join us Saturday October 17th for a 5k, 10k, or 25k trail race! All races are out on the single track trails at the IWSC and they all start at 10am.

Register by 9/13 to get the hat! Same day registration will be available (cash or check) as well.
