Benefits: TRX Neutral Grip Chest Press

Benefits: The TRX chest press enhances upper body strength and stability, primarily targeting the chest muscles (pectoralis major and minor) while also engaging muscles in the shoulders, arms, and core. This exercise not only builds your chest but also contributes to overall muscle development, muscle strength, and improved stability,

Set Up

Fully lengthen your TRX Suspension Training straps.

Movement

Stand facing away from the anchor point with the straps running over and slightly above your shoulders.

Place one hand on each handle with the palms facing each other, straighten your arms in front of you to shoulder height, and walk your feet back towards the anchor so that you are leaning forward and up on your toes.

Drive your shoulders down, engage your core, and create a straight line with your body from your head to your toes (a standing plank).

Maintaining your standing plank and core engagement the entire time, inhale as you bend your elbows keeping them close to your body, lowering your chest until it reaches handle level.

Push yourself back up to the starting position by extending the elbows, exhaling on the way back up.

Lateral Step Ups

The lateral step-up is a variation of the step-up that better replicates a squatting motion than the traditional step-up.

Purpose

The lateral step-up provides unilateral leg strength for better balance and to reduce weaknesses that limit bilateral leg strength, improves hip stability, and stresses knee extension in the most mechanically difficult range. Unlike the traditional step-up, the side starting position allows the athlete to move more similarly to a squat rather than a lunge.

Fitness for Everyday Success

Studies have shown that happiness for most individuals is derived from feeling successful in life. Whether it is rising the corporate ladder, raising beautiful children, or having a medal placed around your neck after a long race – we want to feel like we matter.

Fitness provides an opportunity to feel successful every day. Going to the gym to lift weights, take a class, or do cardio is a positive decision. Foregoing the gym to run outside, play a sport, take a hike, or just play with your kids is equally as beneficial. Your body will obviously benefit from the activity, but your psyche will prosper from the sensation of accomplishment.

When is the last time you jumped rope? It's cheap an portable and burns more calories than you might think.

Jumping rope is certainly good for your heart and if you are looking for something improves your , and all you have to do is jump rope. Jumping rope recruits all the muscles that strengthens your calves, quads, and glutes along with engaging your shoulders, arms and core.

When you jump rope you connect your mind with your body and create constant neuromuscular adjustments to maintain balance. Enhancing this brain to muscle connection allows your brain to become subconsciously aware of where your feet are and what they are doing. By practicing this over and over again, you are essentially improving your balance, coordination, and quickness.

While jumping rope, you're combining timing and rhythm and making quick calculations to recognize the ropes distance, speed, and direction relative to the positioning of your body all in the effort to maintain constant rotations.

Challenge yourself with a jump rope, change your speed, jump strategy, or even perform tricks - the benefit can be as much mental as it is physical.
