Hey Friends! We just want to keep you informed regarding our stance on suppressors right now.

Yes, I would love to sell you a suppressor same day over the counter, and Yes I know “ Some Gun Shops” are doing it, however there continues to be no clear instructions at this time.

Please remember that this is my family’s livelihood and I do not want to jeopardize my business over a silencer. The waiting period is still very short.

Legal Standing for me as a business owner/FFL.

The injunctive relief granted by the court is strictly limited to the specific individuals, organizations, and their members involved in the litigation.

➡️ Because the court did not provide a nationwide exemption, you cannot assume your status as an NRA member or GOA member@ automatically grants you the right to bypass registration requirements unless your specific membership qualifies you as a protected member under the Jensen or Silencer Shop plaintiff groups.
Named plaintiff organizations like the Texas State Rifle Association and FPC Action Foundation are the primary entities whose members and customers currently benefit from the ruling.

Department of Justice guidance remains a point of concern, as the government may still appeal the decision to the Fifth Circuit, creating potential legal uncertainty for those attempting to conduct unregistered transfers.

Standard ATF process remains the law for the vast majority of FFLs and customers, and attempting to deviate from these federal mandates outside of the protected classes could subject you to significant legal risk.
🛡️ Compliance and Risk Mitigation

Attempting to sell or transfer suppressors without proper NFA registration while outside the scope of this injunction could result in federal prosecution. Since the final judgment applies specifically to the identified plaintiffs, their agencies, and their customers, you should consult with legal counsel to verify if your specific business or customer transaction meets the requirements defined by the court.

Clear guidance from the federal government regarding how these transfers should be handled is still pending, and acting prematurely without confirmation that you are a protected party under the injunction is not advisable.

Suppressor Customers!

We’ve seen a lot of chatter online and had a bunch of folks asking if you can now buy a suppressor and walk out the door with it the same day.

The short answer: No—it’s not a cash-and-carry item just yet! 😄
Here’s the deal: While ATF eForm 4 approval times have dropped dramatically (often clearing in just a few days or weeks instead of months or years), the official ATF transfer process is still 100% required.

*The Process Remains: You still need to submit an eForm 4, take electronic fingerprints, submit a passport photo, and undergo the full federal background check.

No Dealer "Fast-Pass": Gun dealers have not been given any new guidance or process by the ATF allowing same-day, over-the-counter handoffs without waiting for official ATF eForm approval.

The Wait is Still Required: We cannot legally release a suppressor to you until we receive the official approval notice directly from the ATF.

The Good News? Buying a suppressor is still faster, smoother, and easier than it’s ever been in history! Stop in, let us set up your eForm filing and digital fingerprints, and we’ll help you get the ball rolling so you can get approved as fast as possible.

Got questions about picking out the right suppressor? Drop by the shop or send us a message!
