Grab your four-legged bestie and join us for Let’s Pawty, a Halloween dog event at Heritage Village Park! Dress your pup in their best costume and enjoy an afternoon of:

Upcoming Pool Maintenance 🛠️

The water park and hot tub will be closed for annual maintenance and deep cleaning Monday, September 14 through Sunday, September 20.

Open swim will not be offered September 18-20.

The lap pool and dive well will remain available during the maintenance closure.

Before heading to the Veterans Memorial Community Center, please check ighmn.gov/OpenSwim for the most current open swim schedule.

🍕 Less than one week until our final food truck festival of the year!

We’re wrapping up the food truck festival season with an IGH Days Food Truck Festival next Thursday. Grab dinner, a sweet treat and your favorite people (and pups!) and join us for a delicious evening in the VMCC parking lot.

🌭 10+ local food trucks
🐶 Leashed, well-mannered dogs are welcome
🎯 Giant yard games and free family-friendly activities
🪑 Bring a lawn chair or blanket, or grab a spot at one of our picnic tables

We heard you… it’s HOT! ☀️

After hearing from so many of you asking us to keep the splash pad open a little longer, we’re excited to share some good news:

💦 The Heritage Village Park Inclusive Splash Pad season has been EXTENDED through Labor Day!

That means you have one more week to make those summer splash memories, with the splash pad open 10 a.m.-8 p.m. through Monday, September 7.

🚗 Parking tip: Drive past the dog park and its parking lot. You'll see the splash pad and its large dedicated parking lot on your left.

And this extension wouldn’t have happened without our amazing Parks & Recreation team working behind the scenes. Kudos to them for making a little extra summer fun possible for our community!

So go ahead… grab the swimsuits, pack the sunscreen and enjoy one more splash before school starts! 💦

A fresh coat of paint for the fitness studio, just in time for a fresh season of movement! 🍂

If fall has you feeling like it’s time to get back into a routine, our specialty fitness classes are a great place to start. These smaller group classes are led by certified personal trainers, so you’ll get guidance and support while working toward your goals.

Want to get stronger? Boot Camp brings purposeful, high-energy workouts that help you build strength and move faster in everyday life. Looking for a little more confidence in the fitness center? Women & Weights is a women-only class that teaches you how to safely and effectively use the equipment while building strength and confidence. And because you asked for it, we’re offering a new day and time this session!

Prefer something a little more gentle? Our new Adaptive Seated Yoga is designed to help you stretch, move and build mobility from a seated position.

And we have specialty classes for the younger crowd, too, including Zumba Kids, Youth Instafit and Teen Strength.

Maybe this is the season you finally make a little more time for yourself. 💪
