Level I Beginning Iyengar Yoga -
Level I Yoga focuses on realigning the body through asanas {postures}. Asanas are done safely with the use of props (if needed) for correct body alignment. Strength, subtle muscle action, flexibility & focus are built with basic standing poses, seated forward bends, twists, supported inversions, and supported backbends. It is advisable to not eat a full meal at least 2 hours before practicing.
Restorative Yoga -
Restorative yoga seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. A deeper mind-body connection is also built through pranayama {breath control}. The use of props aids in maintaining balance while focusing and relaxing. This class is suitable for all ages and abilities. It is advisable to not eat a full meal at least 2 hours before practicing.
