Indianapolis Colts Nation, All aboard on Daniel Jones comeback hype train!!
After tearing his Achilles in Week 14 last season, Daniel Jones has now been cleared for 7-on-7 drills during OTAs.
And according to head coach Shane Steichen: "Thatβs Huge."
Jones was leading Colts to an 8-2 start last season, but then everything changed.
He suffered a torn Achilles tendon against Jaguars in Week 14.
Without him, Indianapolis lost its final four games and missed the playoffs for a fifth straight season.
Now the comeback is officially underway.
Steichen says the Colts will continue increasing Jones' workload through OTAs before getting him fully involved during training camp.
And Jones himself believes he'll be ready for Week 1.
The Colts already showed how different they looked with Jones under center last season.
Now he'll enter 2026 with:
πΉ A full offseason in the system
πΉ A new two-year, $88 million extension
πΉ Clear QB1 status
Meanwhile, Anthony Richardson, Riley Leonard and Easton Stick are expected to battle for backup duties.
For Colts fans, the biggest takeaway is simple:
Daniel Jones is back on the field.
And if he returns to the form he showed before the Achilles injury...Indianapolis could finally end its playoff drought.
