Burn Cycling is sunsetting.
After 8 beautiful years of service, Burn Cycling will be closing its operations.
This is a bittersweet moment for us, but more than anything, we are filled with gratitude. We are so proud of what Burn has been able to create in our hometown city of Inglewood. It has been more than a cycling studio. It has been a space where community was cultivated, friendships were found, bodies were strengthened, weight was lost, confidence was built, and movement became a lifestyle.
I am especially proud of my mother, Julie aka Slim Goodie, for carrying this space with so much love, faith, discipline, and care. Burn Cycling is a reflection of her heart, her resilience, and her commitment to this community.
To every rider, instructor, neighbor, friend, family member, and supporter who has been part of the Burn Cycling family: thank you. Whether you clipped in once or rode with us for years, you helped make this space what it is.
As the city of Inglewood continues to change and grow, it is beautiful to witness. But that growth has also created real challenges for many mom-and-pop shops, Black-owned businesses, and Black and brown community spaces facing increased rent, higher overhead, and the rising cost of staying open. For a boutique cycling studio, it has become more challenging to sustain the business in the same way.
But the good news is: instead of leaving, we’re pivoting!
Our location will remain open and in the family as the space is handed down from Julie to Iman, allowing us to continue serving the community in a new way while honoring the Burn legacy.
Our last official day of Burn Cycling operations is Saturday, June 13. Come ride with us one more time as we close this chapter and ride into the sunset together.

With love and deep gratitude,
Julie, Iman, and the Burn Cycling family
