✨CARBS ARE THE KING OF HIGH-INTENSITY PERFORMANCE!!!✨

Though commonly demonized, carbohydrates are in fact the best energy source for high-
intensity performance.
Now of course, if you don't consume carbohydrates, your body will start using fats as its primary energy source.

But think about it ... Fats have 9 calories per gram as opposed to the 4 calories per gram in carbohydrates.

This caloric content, along with the more complex structure of fats, makes them unsuitable for the momentary demands of high-intensity exercise, because fat cannot be used up for energy as rapidly as carbs.

For this reason, if you engage in resistance training frequently, consuming quality carbohydrate sources is needed for optimal performance.

Here are some of the best carb sources you can include in your nutrition plan:
1. Brown rice
2. Oats
3. White rice
4. Fruits
5. Sweet potatoes
6. Normal potatoes
7. Lentils
8. Beans

Though carbs are superior to fats in the high-intensity performance aspect, quality dietary fats must represent at least 20% of your total daily caloric intake, as they regulate a number of important processes.

If you also have days when you go through low-intensity, endurance bouts that are long, eating some more fats will be of help for meeting the energy demands of that activity!

The answer is…

TRUE!!!

Consuming food in a surplus of calories means eating more calories than your body needs to maintain its mass.

Muscle growth means increasing the mass of your active tissue (muscle tissue.)

And well, it makes sense that such growth is optimal in a caloric surplus because after all, that new tissue has its own energy content.

And as we know, energy can neither be created nor destroyed - It can only be transformed!

So hey, if you are gaining muscle, take that food, lift progressively and convert the food to ROCK-HARD muscle!

It’s hard to imagine that there’s a single person out there who hasn’t at some point felt the urge to take a break from their regular training routine.
It happens for various reasons: you may be injured, exhausted, stressed or just want to try something new and different.

But listen, once you decide to get back (and you will) don’t try to go hard through to your latest achievements.

Instead, get back to the basics - Focus on good exercise ex*****on, gradually increase the load and get back to your previous best, progressively.

And THEN beat it!
