There are some losses that are simply impossible to put into words. 💔

With incredibly heavy hearts, we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Brandon Dufoe, one of Iowa’s truly special wrestling officials, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Brandon was so much more than a great wrestling official. He was a great person, a friend, a mentor, and an even better father to his son, Nolan. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Brandon knows the kind of person he was—kind, genuine, hardworking, and always willing to give his time and heart to the sport and the people around him.

The wrestling community has lost someone incredibly special. The impact Brandon made on Iowa wrestling, and on the countless wrestlers, coaches, families, and officials who crossed his path, will never be forgotten.

But above all else, our hearts are with Nolan. No child should have to face the loss of a parent, and we ask everyone to lift Nolan, Brandon’s family, and all of his closest friends in your prayers during this unimaginable time.

💔 Rest in peace, Brandon.
Thank you for everything you gave to wrestling, but even more importantly, thank you for being the incredible person and father that you were.

You will be deeply missed, never forgotten, and forever a part of the Iowa wrestling family.

Please keep Nolan, his family, and all who loved Brandon in your thoughts and prayers. 🙏💔
