Want to join the swim team here in Indianola?

For NEW members:

Swim evaluations are a necessary part of joining our team. A swimmer needs to be able to swim one length of the pool unassisted. Arms must come out of the water and reach forward. Can NOT be doggie paddling. This is to show the coaches that the swimmer can make forward progression and be safe in the water. Speed and time do NOT matter for the evaluation. It should only take a few minutes to complete.

Wanting to join the swim team here in Indianola???

Registration for the Fall/Winter 2026-2027 season is now open! Our Fall/Winter season will start 9/14/26. Use the link below to register and find more information regarding our team.

The registration process is simple for both new and returning members. You'll get access to your own private account that will enable you to sign-up your swimmer for their swim events, sign-up for volunteer jobs at home meets, see your swimmer's progress, maintain your own contact information, and more.

For NEW members:

Only swimmers who qualify for State or Regional meets will practice after the Last Chance swim meet mid-February.

Practice Schedule:
Beginners: Tuesday and Thursdays 6:15 pm- 7:15 pm
Intermediate: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6:15-8:15 pm
Advanced: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6:15-8:15 pm

Tonight marks our second Hawkeye League meet of the season. Come down to Wellmark YMCA to cheer us on against Boone Swimming and the Indianola Area Swim Club! Can’t make it tonight? The Indianola high school girls swim team will be getting started soon! They will have their first meeting on Tuesday May 12th at 6:00pm at the high school for anyone interested in joining the team!

Several of our turtle swimmers participate on the high school teams and It’s a great opportunity for swimmers to advance their skills even more! 7th and 8th graders can practice with the team but not compete. We are excited to see their season reach great success this year!

Are you looking for a unique challenge this year? Whether you're a seasoned pro or have never been on a team before, the High School Girls Swim Team is looking for you!

No prior competitive experience is required—just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

We are back up in Minnesota this weekend for the Midwest Regional Swim Meet. Day 1 was a lot of fun and now we are ready for day 2! Congrats to all of our swimmers who made it for this wonderful meet!
