Steve Hoffacker - December 5, 1966-June 18, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we share that our beloved founder, mentor, friend, and leader, Steve Hoffacker, passed peacefully into eternity on Thursday evening, June 18, at 11:01 p.m. at his home in Santa Barbara.

For many of you, this news may come as a shock. Steve quietly battled pancreatic cancer for the past two years with remarkable courage and grace. He chose to carry that burden privately, never allowing his illness to define him. Even in difficult moments, he remained hopeful. When circumstances would have discouraged most people, Steve somehow found a small spark of light and turned it into something bright enough to guide everyone around him. That was his gift. Steve believed in people. He believed in possibility. He believed that our bodies could heal, that our lives could improve, and that we were capable of far more than we imagined.

Through the Hoffacker Method, he shared that belief with thousands of people, and he passed that philosophy on to every member of our team. While Steve is no longer with us physically, his work continues every single day. His teachings, his passion, and his commitment to helping others remain woven into everything we do. The team he built will continue carrying his vision forward and serving people with the same care, attention, and purpose that he modeled for nearly three decades. Steve thoughtfully prepared this company for the future. Through his leadership, the stewardship of our team, and years of shared vision and planning, Hoffacker Health and Fitness remains strong and committed to the mission that began in 1997: helping people do what they love for as long as they love doing it.

We will share information regarding a celebration of Steve’s life in the coming days. Until then, we invite you to remember him as he was: optimistic, passionate, generous, endlessly curious, and fully committed to the people he loved.🙏
