Weekend FLYT Report!
Multiple races. Big performances.
What a weekend for FLYT Performance athletes across triathlon, trail racing, relay events, and the marathon distance. They kept the FLYT coaches hopping, tracking & cheering all weekend!
🔹Moriane Olympic Triathlon:
Huge congratulations to 1-1 Lauren Ascah on an incredible race and a massive bike split win a solid swim and run, earning her Overall Female Champion honors and finishing 15 minutes faster than last year’s performance.
Age group awards also went to 1-1 Lori Comber 1st AG with a dominant and consistent day across all three disciplines, and 1-1 Erica Larkin, 3rd AG, battled through bike mechanical issues and still fought her way to a podium finish with a very strong swim. Both athletes continue building toward Ironman Lake Placid.
A special shoutout goes to 1-1 Delaney Takoch for completing her first Olympic triathlon & 1st adult triathlon while also winning her age group. Delaney was the one of the 1st female swimmers out of the water in the Olympic distance race overall. Excited to watch this young athlete continue to grow in the sport.
🔹At the Marine Sprint Triathlon, Coach Stacy reported personal best performances from 1-1 AJ Perry & Amy Myers, along with a very strong race from athlete Laura Pesci.
🔹The Florida Keys 100 Relay was another highlight for our FLYT 1-1 athletes. Brian Trimboli, currently preparing for Tahoe 200, helped lead and mentor relay teammates Heather Heutsche, Kim Krueger, and Delaney Javens through an outstanding team effort. Also, a big shoutout to CycleLife member Schillaci for his consistent relay legs.
🔹Congratulations to 1-1 Megan Stockner for competing in the Oil Creek 5 Mile Trail Run. The trails are clearly where Megan feels most at home and where she shines brightest.
🔹And finally, kudos to 1-1 Lisa Chiavazza on completing her first marathon. After seeking out a return-to-run progression with Coach Amy, Lisa arrived healthy, strong, and prepared to accomplish this milestone.
Coach & are incredibly proud of all of our athletes this weekend. Keep trusting the process. Keep training strong.
