WePlayed wrapped up the first Techstars Sports Accelerator. We want to thank Techstars, as well the entire Indiana community for hosting us for more than three months. Today it was officially announced that WePlayed is part of the first-ever Techstars accelerator program set up specifically for sports and sports technology. We are honored to be one of ten disruptive and entrepreneurial sports companies accepted into the program and look forward to working with Techstars partners, mentors, and other sports collaborators. Our core team will be spending the next three months in the wonderful host city of Indianapolis and returning to our Boston home in September. Meanwhile, our product and content advancements move full steam ahead as we ready for a formal launch later this year. Stay tuned for more news about our community-driven sports video platform.

WePlayed plans a freemium subscription model that will allow athletes and sports fans “to discover, personalize and share their favorite moments,” initially from college sports, via web or mobile apps.
