INDYCAR Safety Team Since 1996, the INDYCAR Safety Team has been protecting the NTT INDYCAR Series Drivers. Under the supervision of Tim Baughman, INDYCAR’s Sr.

Protecting the NTT INDYCAR Series Drivers since 1996, the INDYCAR Safety Team is a group of career Firefighter EMT/Paramedics who are employed by INDYCAR and travel with the NTT INDYCAR Series. Director of Track Safety and Medical Services, the INDYCAR Safety Team provides on track medical, fire suppression, extrication, race car recovery and clean up of all track racing surfaces. ty Team's experience comes from many years in Motor Sports Safety, Fire Service, and Emergency Medical Services. Under the supervision of Dr. Julia Vaizer, INDYCAR'S Medical Director, the INDYCAR Medical Team includes Emergency Room Physicians and Nurses, Trauma Physicians and a Neurologist who work with the INDYCAR Safety Team. The INDYCAR Medical Team coordinates the local hospital trauma centers, helicopter/ground-based emergency medical services and local track personnel, so they can manage the medical needs of the INDYCAR drivers and team members at all NTT INDYCAR Series events.

Today we have heavy hearts and overwhelming sadness, because we have lost a friend. Greg Donnelly passed away unexpectedly yesterday morning. Greg was part of the OG Stepp’s Race Recovery Team.

Greg was a valued member who traveled with the INDYCAR Series and worked closely on-track with the INDYCAR Safety Team.

Greg was a hard worker and a great friend to many, and we will desperately miss him.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family, his Stepp's family, and to everyone who knew Greg.

Rest in Peace Brother! You will never be forgotten. 🙏🏼❤️
