Our High School boys are back at it this Thursday night in the Horizon Christian Gym. The work we put in during the summer months is what defines our season. We’re looking for high intensity and a competitive edge as we prepare for the year ahead.

New era, same championship standard. Help us give a massive welcome to our new Varsity Head Soccer Coach, John Anderson!

If Coach Anderson looks familiar, it’s because he was a vital part of the coaching staff during last year’s historic State Championship run. He knows what it takes to win at the highest level, and he is ready to build on that incredible foundation.

John has been living and breathing soccer since he was 3 years old, but his biggest joy is his family. Alongside his wife Sue and daughters Hailey and Kaitlyn, his son Caleb will actually be suiting up for the Lions this fall.

For Coach Anderson, the pitch is about more than just the scoreboard. It’s a classroom for life. He is dedicated to shaping young men who play with integrity, passion, and purpose, anchoring the program in Colossians 3:23:

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters..."

We are thrilled to introduce our new Summer Strength & Conditioning Coach, Judah Hennessy! Coach Hennessy is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Performance at Marian University, where he also competes as a collegiate baseball player. He brings fantastic experience in designing and implementing strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs tailored for athletes of all ages. His goal? Helping our Lions improve performance, build lasting confidence, and reduce the risk of injury.

Summer Program Schedule -
Get ready to work this summer! Our Lions Strength & Conditioning program is officially locked in:

- Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
- Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Summer Open Runs start this Tuesday, June 2nd! Coach Doug Brown is hosting these every Tuesday and Thursday in June and July from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
It’s completely free and open to everyone—parents, kids, athletes, and walkers alike. We’ll meet at the South Campus Pool House for a short devotional, some workouts/games, and swimming most nights to cool off.
