The crowd is loud. The trash talk is louder.
None of it is your assignment.
Distraction is a choice disguised as a reaction.
Every jeer, every cheap shot, every bit of noise is a test — and the test is simple: where are your eyes, where is your mind?

Lock onto what actually moves the game. The ball. The call. The job in front of you.
Everything else is just weather.

The player who can’t be rattled isn’t ignoring the noise.
They’ve decided it doesn’t get a vote.

Not biting back isn’t weakness. It’s respect — for yourself, for your teammates, for the game.
Distractions only work if you let them.

Hear everything. Answer nothing.

It’s that time of year again!

Many of you have probably already seen posts about the Midwest Thunderbird Cup, and we’re excited to officially announce that Indiana will have THREE full select side teams competing and representing Indiana rugby this weekend in Lemont, IL!

➡️ Indiana U23 Women’s Selects
➡️ Indiana Senior Women’s Selects
➡️ Indiana Senior Men’s Selects

The U23 Women kick things off Friday and Saturday, while the Senior Women and Senior Men compete on Saturday and Sunday.

Be sure to follow our social media pages along with the Midwest Rugby Union for schedule updates, player spotlights, match results, and STREAMING information throughout the weekend.

Yes, most matches will be professionally streamed for those who can’t make it in person!
