Some of the best adventures start with a good conversation.

A few years ago, Brenda at Jack's Barbershop introduced Frank's owner, Peter Bloomquist, to Grant Kinast while they were both sitting in her barber chairs in downtown Indianapolis. That introduction turned into a friendship, a partnership, and eventually helped shape the social media voice of Frank's Paddlesports Livery.

Now we're celebrating that connection with a special Father's Day paddle on the White River.

Join Brenda and Peter for a guided 4-mile paddle along one of Indianapolis' greatest natural treasures. This relaxed, beginner-friendly trip is the perfect way to spend Father's Day weekend; whether you're bringing Dad, paddling with family, or simply looking for a memorable outdoor adventure.

Along the way, you'll hear stories about the White River, Frank's journey from a small seasonal operation to Indianapolis' favorite paddlesports destination, and what's next for river recreation in Central Indiana.

We spotted this four-legged White River ambassador at the Broad Ripple Duck Race and couldn't resist sharing.

We're proud to work alongside partners like Friends of White River and Frank's Paddlesports Livery to help connect people with the White River through recreation, education, and stewardship.

And thanks to projects like DigIndy, the vision of making Indianapolis a true river city is becoming a reality. By capturing, storing, and treating billions of gallons of combined sewage overflow, DigIndy is helping create a cleaner, healthier White River for future generations to enjoy.

We're always vibing at Frank's. 😎🌊

It's hard not to be in a good mood when your office is the White River.

One of the most common things we hear from guests after their trip is, "I can't believe this has been in my backyard the whole time."

There's something special about seeing Indianapolis from the water - slowing down, connecting with nature, and experiencing the city from a perspective most people never get to see.

Come find out what all the hype is about and discover why so many paddlers leave wondering why they didn't do it sooner.

Keep your head on a swivel when the temperatures rise and the team breaks out the water balloons. πŸŽˆπŸ’¦

A little friendly fire is part of summer around here.

And before anyone asks - every last balloon fragment was picked up afterward. Keeping plastic out of our waterways is a responsibility we take seriously.

Fun on the river. Respect for the river.

No plastics in our waterways. Making Indy a River City. πŸŒŠβ™»οΈ

Last Sunday, a great group of volunteers paddled Fall Creek and pulled everything from hubcaps and tires to bags of trash out of the water. This is what it looks like when people show up for their waterways. We are so proud of everyone who came out on May 31st. πŸ›Ά

The work isn't done yet β€” and this Friday, we're going back.

Join us for our next Fall Creek Canoe Cleanup this Friday, June 12th! Park at the Indy Urban Wilderness Trail, and we'll shuttle everyone up to the Citizens Energy Group's aqueduct property to start the paddle. From there, we'll work our way down Fall Creek all the way to its confluence with the White River β€” ending right back where you parked. After we're done cleaning, we're gathering around a bonfire with hot dogs from Kincaid's Meat Market and drinks for everyone who shows up. πŸ”₯🌭

Ever have that friend or coworker who takes the assignment a little too seriously?

We asked for a few photos of the boats staged for a paddle... and somehow ended up with an entire content library. πŸ“ΈπŸ˜‚

All jokes aside, we're grateful for a team that shows up, takes pride in what they do, and always goes the extra mile - even when nobody asked them to.

We're thankful for this crew.

Frank's doesn't miss ♻️

We don't just talk about protecting our waterways - we put in the work.

Keeping our rivers clean is a core part of our mission to make Indianapolis a true river city. This past weekend, we completed our first river cleanup of the season, removing trash from a stretch of Fall Creek and doing our part to preserve these natural spaces for everyone to enjoy.

The work doesn't stop when the boats come off the water. Photos from the cleanup coming soon.

When the dream team hits flow state, it's a beautiful thing. 🀌

No dropped paddles. No missed cues. No communication necessary.

Just three river rats operating on the same wavelength and loading boats like they've rehearsed this for Broadway.
