Post 493 Bearcats Earn Walk-Off Win Over Bushy Run Post 260

Post 493 Bearcats took Thursday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 6-5 walk-off victory over Bushy Run Post 260 at First Commonwealth Field. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the eighth when an error scored one run.
Bushy Run Post 260 got on the board in the top of the first inning after Dylan Ridley walked, and Amari Thomas grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.
Bushy Run Post 260 took the lead in the top of the second inning after Ridley walked, and Grady Dunsmore singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Brayden Rado singled down the right field line, which helped Post 493 Bearcats tie the game at three in the bottom of the fifth.
Bushy Run Post 260 took the lead in the top of the seventh. Thomas singled, scoring two runs, to give Bushy Run Post 260 the upper hand, 5-3.
Brock Lewis singled down the right field line, which helped Post 493 Bearcats tie the game at five in the bottom of the seventh.
Rado earned the win for Post 493 Bearcats. The reliever allowed four hits and two runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking two. Nash Budner began the game for Post 493 Bearcats. The hurler allowed four hits and four runs over five innings, striking out six and walking six. Jayden Kennedy stepped on the bump first for Bushy Run Post 260. The starter allowed eight hits and three runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking two.
Post 493 Bearcats accumulated 12 hits in the game. Riley George and Rado each collected three hits for Post 493 Bearcats. Lewis went 1-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Aidan Race collected two hits for Post 493 Bearcats in four at bats.
Thomas led Bushy Run Post 260 with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The infielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Dunsmore led Bushy Run Post 260 with three hits in four at bats. Evan Gigliotti collected two hits for Bushy Run Post 260 in five at bats. Bushy Run Post 260 had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. Noah Rattigan and Ethan Septak led the team with three free passes each.
