Brief Background:
Private Instructor Andras Cruz-Aedo has been involved in tennis for almost twenty years. Taking his first swing at a tennis ball at the age of 5, Andras received recognition both on and off the court, a partial sponsorship from Babolat, has traveled and trained nation-wide at the junior competitive level, and was formerly ranked as a National and top Southern California junior.
Inspired by a tennis-enthused father Carlos Cruz-Aedo, former ATP pro and SCTA vice-chairman, Andras began training under the instruction of Christian LeGrand (West End Racquet Club), Pete Fischer (former coach of Pete Sampras, Maria Sharapova, Vince Spadea), and briefly, Jimmy Connors (former World No. 1 ranked). He, "appreciates and loves the game with a burning passion, but most of all, [I] take great pride in teaching those who are willing to learn." For half a decade, Andras has been a private tennis instructor and "Elite Program" coach at the South Bay Tennis Center located in Torrance, California. Here, several national championships have been produced under the instruction of tennis director, Courtney Hance. He has also taught at of the University of Santa Barbara as well as out of Carson, California (Director Jose Higueras' USTA Training Center) with Brady Tennis, one of our California's critically acclaimed top tennis programs for over 20+ years and the Jim Reffkin Tennis Center located in Tucson, AZ.
