Hey Everyone, North Country Sportsman's Club is hosting a small fishing event for kids, during the Save Robert's & Cochran Lake Memorial.
Date: Saturday August 8th
Time: 8:30 -11:00 A.M ( Please sign your child in, and fill out the waiver form. prior to fishing.)
Ages: 5-7 & 8-12 years....It is free!
There will be prizes following the Memorial Ceremony, < to be determined if before or after lunch>
* they are welcome to fish either Lake and on Shore, or by non gas motored boat, preferably small flat bottomed, canoe or kayak. These are small lakes and parking is limited so if you plan to use one please try to get your boat in the water and take your vehicle back to the suggested parking areas so that it's not interrupted during the 9:00 a.m. start of the program.
* please make sure that your child or children have life jackets especially in the boats as we want to ensure safety of everyone.
* At approximately 11am we would like to gather all the children back together near the dam at the table to weigh in your fish and distribute prizes. Again this may be just before or after lunch. We will let you know when you sign in.

*** anyone who has a small boat , canoe, kayak or extra life jacket to help ensure all children get a chance to fish offshore safely, possibly even an extra fishing pole to borrow would be greatly appreciated. We are unsure of how many children are attending at this point. If you have one of these items you would like to loan out please contact Bonnie 231-420-2546, Jay 231-268-9941, John Studerstones , Randy Stewart .

Hope to see Everyone out there, please share and spread the word. Thanks to All those who have made this possible and Honoring Our Fallen Fellow Men!

We are starting to gear up for the Annual Handicapable Hunt.
We would like to invite anyone who qualifies as 💯 disabled through the state, doctor or veterans. This is October 15th-18th, 2026. There's a limited amount of spots this year, so if you're interested in 4 days of fun, and hunting of course, get in touch with Bonnie to get on the list.
