Indian Land Middle School Athletics Parents,

We would like to inform you of an important change regarding athletic paperwork for all student-athletes. The South Carolina High School League has implemented a new required athletic forms system. As part of this transition, parents will no longer use Planet High School to complete athletic paperwork. Instead, all required forms will now be completed through Arbiter.

During this transition, please do not submit paper forms directly to coaches or athletic directors. All official documentation should be completed and submitted through the Arbiter platform.
However, we ask that you keep any completed paper copies of your athletic forms for the time being in case they are needed during the transition process.
Additional information and instructions regarding Arbiter will be provided soon. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we move to this new system.

Over the years, we have watched these student-athletes grow not only as volleyball players, but as leaders, teammates, and outstanding young women. They have represented our program, our school, and our community with pride, determination, and heart. Through victories and challenges, they have shown resilience, character, and what it truly means to be a Warrior.

While we are sad to see them leave Indian Land Middle School, we are incredibly excited for the opportunities that await them at the next level. The future is bright for this group, and we know they will continue to achieve great things both on and off the court.

Once a Lady Warrior, Always a Lady Warrior. Here are some words of Wisdom from our Staff......

"To our Lady Warriors,
It has been a complete honor to be your Coach over the past two years. From the moment you walked into ILMS for Spring Conditioning / Summer Camp, to the moment of the last whistle…. Or even the night you walked across the field at 8th Grade Graduation, I could not be more proud of you than I already am. May I leave you with a few words of wisdom. Remember the “Rattlesnake”...When life gets tough, don't retreat. Coil up, stay calm, and prepare for your next move. RISE AND SHINE IT’S RATTLESNAKE TIME!!!! Be humble when you win and strong when you lose. Your attitude will open more doors than your talent. Work hard when nobody is watching. That’s where champions are made. A moment please, for just a word,
Is it true what we now have heard?
It's a bit much to be believing,
That soon you will us be leaving.

A moment please for just a tear,
When we should really give a cheer,
You always lend a helping hand,
In tough times behind us you stand.

A moment please, for just a thought,
On all the good things you have taught.
Thank you for a good work finished,
May it go on undiminished.

A moment please, for just a prayer,
To leave you in the best of care,
May you be blessed in all your days
God reward you now and always.

In the words of Thorpe...." I can't tell you what to do but..." and "I don't have a dog in that fight" but..... go enjoy those Honey Buns, MAC-Donald's Coffee, Fishing and lots of Family time!!! You will NEVER know just how many lives you touched. Whether you were known as a Lancaster High School Bruin.... or a Indian Land Middle Warrior.... Being "Coach Thorpe" or "Principal Thorpe".... just always remember how much you are loved!!!

That's a wrap for our 2026 Rising 7th Grade Spring Volleyball Conditioning Program, and I could not be more proud of the young ladies who showed up, worked hard, and committed themselves to becoming better athletes and teammates.

This was the largest Conditioning ever. We started out on May 1st with over 100 girls. This is not everyone... only the ones who could make it on the last day.
Championships are not won on game day. They are built in Coach Burton's infamous "Snake Pit" (Workout room), during conditioning, through every sprint, every rep, every jump,every bleacher / stadium aka "Mountain" and every moment when nobody is watching.

Spring Conditioning is a mental game. They get to see just what tbey got. On May 1st many doubt themselves. By the end... they are extremely confident. May is when "The Rattlesnake" mentality is born.

This spring, our Lady Warriors embraced the grind and laid the foundation for what we hope will be a special season.

Thank you to all of our athletes for your dedication, effort, and positive attitudes. Thank you to the families who made the commitment possible. The work we've done this spring is only the beginning. Welcome to "The Reservation", Warriors!!!! So proud of you all!!!

So happy for all the young men in the State of NC and North Carolina Boys Volleyball as they have OFFICIALLY Sanctioned Boys Volleyball as a Championship Sport recognized by the NC High School League. It's been 10 years in the making!!!

Today is a historic day for our state.

Thank you to the North Carolina High School Athletic Association for officially sanctioning boys high school volleyball in North Carolina.

The first official NCHSAA season will begin in 2026–27.

This changes everything.

For thousands of athletes across our state, this means a real opportunity to represent their school, wear their jersey, and be part of something bigger than themselves. No more barriers, no more uncertainty. Just a clear path to play.

It also brings consistency and fairness across the board. Every program will now operate under the same structure, with the same access, expectations, and support. A true level playing field.

Thank you to everyone who has been on this ride with us—the coaches, players, parents, officials, and advocates who never stopped pushing.

And a special thank you to First Point Volleyball Foundation and the Carolina Region Volleyball for their continued support and grant funding that helped fuel this growth.

This has been 10 years in the making. This achievement belongs to all of us.

Thank you for believing in this and fighting for this.

It’s time to "MEET THE COACH" and get fired up for the future of Indian Land Middle School Volleyball! If your athlete is a RISING 7th-grade girl (current 6th grader), this is where it all begins—the vision, the culture, and the standard we’re building together.

Join us on Thursday, April 30th, at 6:00 PM in the ILMS Cafeteria to learn about preseason plans, important dates, spring conditioning, summer camp and tryouts, team expectations, communication, and how you can support your athlete every step of the way. This isn’t just a meeting—it’s the foundation of something special, where future teammates become family, and we set the tone for a program built on TEAMWORK. DISCIPLINE. TOGETHER.
