After 6 years, 4000+ guests from 50 states and almost 100 countries, Skykomish Outfitters and Chinook ATV had the most extraordinary gift today. We were blessed with guests with heritage from the newest country on the planet: South Sudan. South Sudan was formally recognized as a country in 2011.
This gift reminded us:
Hands down, the best part of our job is meeting new people, learning about diverse backgrounds from all walks of the world and sharing a little part of our tiny piece of the planet with them.
Today (at 3000 feet) we talked about a long lasting civil war, religious differences, roots of contention, aggression and independence.
It's days like these that encourage us to continue sharing our wonderful, wonderful place on this planet and strive to protect it, AND understand how to help protect the basics of humanity and understanding to all cultures from around the world.
Our little valley is unique and also similar to the rest of the world. EVERYONE is under extreme social, religious and environmental pressure. Pressure that is overwhelming and challenging.
Skykomish Outfitters will not stop encouraging everyone to SLOW DOWN, take care, be kind and supportive, strive for peace, love, acceptance and respect to each other and our homes.
