Day one at the North Fork Championships did not disappoint!

The Kokatat Qualifiers were stacked, the lines were rowdy, and the stoke was high from the first lap to the last. It’s been pretty rad getting to be here, catch up with folks, meet more of the crew, and watch the paddling community show up in full force.

We’re excited to support KAJACK on RallyCrew for this course with Jacques Gilardone and European Whitewater School.

This is exactly a kind of course we love seeing on the platform: experienced paddlers and educators working together to help bring up the next generation of kayakers with strong skills, better judgment, and more connection to the whitewater community.

Travel with us to the Ottawa River.

On Wednesday, June 3rd at 4pm PT, Casey Bryant Jones of Ottawa Kayak School is joining RallyCrew for our next Paddling Passport session: planning the perfect Ottawa River trip.

We’ll talk water levels, play features, when to go, which sections to paddle, nearby rivers, local food and drink spots, and the practical beta that makes a trip smoother once you’re there.

If the Ottawa is on your list, this is a good one to join.

A few upcoming paddling events worth having on your radar:

Yampa River Festival is happening May 28-31 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, with a full weekend of river events, races, community gatherings and time on the Yampa.

The International Packraft Film Festival World Premiere is also coming up on May 28 at Bear Tooth Theatrepub in Anchorage, Alaska, from 6-9 pm.

On June 3, RallyCrew’s Paddling Passport series heads to the Ottawa River with Casey Bryant Jones for local trip-planning beta on one of the most iconic playboating rivers in the world.

Pride Day on the River is happening June 13 in Charlemont, Massachusetts, bringing LGBTQIA+ paddlers together on the Deerfield for a day of community and time on the water.

And finally, Jacques Gilardone is helping bring up the next generation of kayakers at the European Whitewater School Creeking Camp in Norway, July 17-30.
