One of the best parts of packrafting is how quickly the community starts to feel small… in a good way. You meet someone at a roundup, paddle together once, run into them somewhere completely different a year later and suddenly you’ve got another river friend.

That’s a big part of why the APA Community Group exists on RallyCrew. Just another place for packrafters to find each other, swap beta, plan trips and stay connected between all the actual river time.

Finding people to paddle with can be weirdly hard. Especially when you’re new to an area or looking for people who paddle the same kind of water you do.

That’s a big part of why we built RallyCrew. Head to the Paddlers tab, use the filters and see who’s out there. Looking for people who paddle Class IV–V in your area? Maybe you want to be sure they paddle a kayak or a cataraft? You can get that specific.

These release days don’t just happen.

American Whitewater now has four upcoming dam release events on its RallyCrew Business Listing:

August 22-23: North Fork Feather River, Rock Creek
September 12: Sultan River
September 12-13: Pit 5
September 26-27: North Fork Feather River, Rock Creek

Releases like these often take years of work behind the scenes. Through hydropower relicensing and ongoing work with dam operators, American Whitewater helps put boatable flows on the calendar while protecting public river access.

A huge thank you to the AW team and the local boaters who keep showing up to make days like these possible.
