Weekend Wrap-Up 🗞️📰🚨
Game 1: Lady Regulators 12U
PC Smoke had a slow start to the day as they fell to the Lady Regulators 5-4. Ella started on the mound strong with no walks, no runs, striking out 4 batters, while only allowing one hit. Harper lead the team at the plate going two for two. Emmery, Ellie, and Harper all drove in one run each for PC Smoke. Struggles on the mound and errors in the field allowed 5 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning.
Game 2: Lady Diamond Backs 12U
PC Smoke maintained patience at the plate in their 16-3 victory over Lady Diamond Backs 12U. Caroline lead the way with 4 RBIs. Emmery started on the mound allowing only three hits through 4 innings. Zuri caught a fly ball in right field and relayed it to Ella at first base making a double play. PC Smoke collected 8 stolen bases and drew 6 walks throughout the game.
Game 3: 2025 Team Legacy 10U
PC Smoke started off with 11 runs on 8 hits in the first inning alone. Tinley, Sophia, and Harper all earned doubles while Tinley and Virginia both had one triple each. The bats were on fire today with 12 total hits during the game. It was a team effort on the mound between Ella and Sophia. PC Smoke earned the W against Team Legacy 15-7.
Game 4: Wasps 12U Grey - Stokes
It was a hard battle against the Wasps as PC Smoke fell in the championship game 1-6. Some untimely errors in the field allowed 4 runs to score in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Harper and Virginia each got one hit in the game as the duo hit back to back scoring the one run.
Spectators had the best view of the season in Independence, VA! Glorious mountain view with a welcomed mid morning sunshine, perfect breeze and a brilliant sunset!
